Quite interesting. I had the exact same problem with my new MCX2, and only on left turns, just as with yours. I mailed it to HorizonHobby for a warranty checkout/repair. They confirmed the unusual behavior and replaced it with a brandnew unit. It is indeed not supposed to be this way and is not a general weakness of the model. It is a defect, therefore it will be replaced.
