It's the Spiderman Font! WHY SONY? WHY? WHY? WHY? It's like, "Forget paying someone to come up with a good original design, after all, we're Sony!" F@K OFF!! So now we've PS3 & u get to go online with it. But u don't just use your internet connection, u must pay an extra subscription! & No backwards compatiblity, so u have to pay us again for all your fave games. Sucks! I'm talking about the Spider-Man films. Sony owns them. If I'm talking about the films, then why would i suddenly talk about the comic books without saying? The reason they used this font was cos the PS2 logo resembled the console show just like this resembles the PS3 shape. Also they owned the font already cos of the Spider-Man films so they decided to use it. So what if Disney buys Marvel. Something that happens now won't affect what happened in the past, genius.

The brand 'Spider-Man' belongs to Marvel. Sony was in charge for distribution for the first two movies as well as Columbia pictures, Sony didn't even do anything for the third. It doesn't matter if we're talking about film or comic or merchandise. Spider-Man remains property of Marvel, not Sony.
