Child like individuals are murdered & put into soups, that's bad. But, the preservatives are likely not so healthy; there is a distinction between unhealthy & lethal. As I understand it: the failure of Proposition 19 in California is a victory - in a backhanded way! If prop19 had of passed, the big drug companies who already know it cures cancer and who already hold patents for the "cure" would be putting the emerging medical marijuana home grown start-ups out of business.

@puffintuffer I disagree. You have to take into account frequency of use, amount used, and method of ingestion. Moderate coffee consumption, concludes Harvard, benefits our health. In contrast, most who use marijuana use it to the point of getting a "high" (thus, they overindulge). Also, the most common method of ingestion is smoking, which, needless to say, is unhealthy. Moreover, it is common for many marijuana users to become daily users.

Whereas caffeine generally motivates us, marijuana does the opposite, decreasing motivation. It can also heighten depression, as well as a whole slew of other psychological disorders. That said, I only have three things to say; There are many stains of cannabis, some actually motivate, others can include many benefits, ranging from laughter, (anti-depression), to pain relief. All seem to have some kind of medical app.

I don't eat junk food, and only drink coffee on occasion. I don't believe I've heard of IT'S health benefit(s).

Pot is NOT a drug, it's an herb! Delta-nine THC is it's psycho-active ingredient.

@puffintuffer Caffeine also resembles the action of a biological drug dopamine. In this respect it acts like amphetamines, heroin and cocaine. Of course, its effect is much weaker, but that this property is attributed to its highly addictive effect.

We as a people need to defend this industry from govt as much as possible. I agree that certain guidlines need to be met as far as quality and grade goes but like you said MM, we dont need a license to grow grapes. @bluefly28 Lots of people get anxiety from being in small spaces, or really high up, or if they are really nervous about some kind of test or interview. Anxiety is natural and not directly linked to cannabis. Only some get it, and even then some don't get it every time.
