hmmm....we usually love inviting new people we meet (who are foreign to the arab world) to our house for some tea and some good home made arab food....
and once you've had arab food....theres no goinf back! :) (remember where homos came from ;) )
what you don't know is that we are peaceful people and all what you hear about us in media(news, movies, series like 24) is not true...also we do have freedom more than you can imagine and if you ever visit Jordan you will see it and you will see how friendly we are and you will enjoy our good hospitality...also we don't have racism against any color or any Religion and that something we are proud of
Iam an arap i went to Jordan and i was treted like DIRT becaues Iam PALESTININ . WHY WHY WHY . oh by the way when they saw that i had a US passport mmmm things changed .

The difference is the religion...Majority of Arabs are Muslims and Islam is a religion that is different from other religions, except for Judaism, which shares similar ideaologies. If you havent known that from before then youre stupid.
the way the media portrays arabs and muslims are as polygamous suicide bombers who opress their women which is surely not the case if theyd only looked more into the religion and culture you would and Americans would surely think otherwise
Hi! I am an American and not of the Muslim religion or from the Arab region.
But, I do like your question and since I went to the Middle-east last year on vacation I can see JORDAN, is truely a beautiful country with beautiful people. The people are so hospitable and want you to feel at home in their country, from taxi cab drivers to bedouins in the desert were all so nice. You should go to see the ancient city of Petra, one day in Jordan. It is the most breath-taking place I have ever seen!
Most people don't realize that lots of Arab counties are westernized. Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, etc. are counties where you will find regular people. Not all women wear Hijab for example. They are not forced to either. I've seen women dressed in tight jeans and short sleeved shirts. In Turkey you can eat and drink (even alcohol) during Ramadan without being prosecuted. The stereotype of an Arab men being suicide bombers and a woman being oppressed is over-exaggerated.
Jordan & Lebanon are the most Modern Arab countries u might find and consider as home :)
we're really the same sis :p

In terms of Lebanon, I just hope that Hezbollah gets the hell out. Radical Islam hurts the region tremendously...
