  • There is nothing fake about the organ and the recording is not remastered. Hedwig Bilgram is playing an organ using mutation stops. Perhaps you are used to the modern approach which is to use a positiv organ as a supporting instrument rather than really improvising and being heard.

  • isn't the recording quality too good for 1968? also the organ sounds like a synthesizer

  • @minasgekos Didt it not occur to you this may be a re/mastering of said recording?

  • @minasgekos organs sound like that because of their stops. Some really do sound fake, and thats why they are so amazing. And as for the recording quality, it was recorded by Germans ;D haha

  • @bobmusick actually the organ sounds great, I don't understand why I wrote it sounded funny, anyway, still the sound quality is astonishing for a 1968 recording, but as somebody mentioned, it might be a digital remastering, so that explains it.

  • amazing

  • In the ninetees, the bavarian broadcasting brought on sundays Bach cantatas performed by Karl Richter and his Munich Bach Choir. Was wunderful! Not to top!
