  • this is just so classic

  • you've got to make this public. this was a DICK to find

    fucking pisstake

    anywho... kanye.

  • @zimboy08

    Ha I know.

This is literally the first video I've heard of that is private.

Oh well, made it more of a jem once I uncovered it :D

  • Kanye is a Gay Fish

  • This song has grown on me. I must admit to not knowing anything about the artist's material. Nice lyrics and a nice melody. Thanks for uploading.

  • I know the whole la-la-la cause of Kanye's Hey Mamma like most.

But that la-la-la remind me of a song in spanish too that I heard when I was young. Cant remember which one.

  • I'd like to know what ass doesn't like this song... I mean, it's a catchy melody and it has a meaning I don't quite understand yet, but I still like the song. I don't like it if you press "I don't like this" with a song, if you don't like it, don't listen!

B.T.W., you can press "I don't like this" with songs performed by Justin Bieber ;p

  • kanye is not the best., but he is talented.

  • I hate to admit it, because he's one of the worst people in the world, but Kanye is one of the best beat makers/producers I've ever heard. He's got his awful pop tracks, but some of his beats are ill as shit.

  • This has a nice ring to it and can't knock Kanye using it for Hey Mama. Glad I found this.

  • YE!

  • MAN SHUT UP FUCKERS

Kanye has sampled for his mother, and if it has to do with the mother may not be everything to the mother of a man is the only argument where no one can tell what the other hand, because it is the only person that people love is a matter situation in which.

  • still has a great message - remember don from the blue dog in baltimore

  • anybody can sample a tune not everyone can make it sound good

  • yeah we need more hiphop with old classic samples like rappers used to do

like a lot of biggie records an kanye records otherwise we wouldve forgot great classic songs like these

  • This brought tears to my eyes. I remember Donal Donald then at Mr Henry's backroom and the Cellar Door. Good Times!

  • kanye does well and credits the original artist most of the time

  • @28triton07

Exactly thats why i respect kanyes shit and i heard artist that were sampled by kanye sayin they had mad respect for him cuzz he changed they songs in a good way that they self would have never come up with game recognize game

  • what an amazing song... thanks to kanye for the exposure , otherwise the world forgets these gems of art... OH and also thanx to the settrippa7 for taking your time to upload

  • Music is music. There's no good, bad, new or old music. We can say 'they don't make them like these anymore' and bad mouth popular genres of today but just think....the music you see as classics were once bad-mouthed by your grandparents and great grandparents as bullshit.

  • Now I know why Kanye is amazing

He samples classic songs like this

  • Mr.Leace played for us in Boyds md. at my elementary school,"EU Taylor" 1961!!!

  • What An Amazing Track,Great Lyrics & Melody!

    Appreiciated!!

  • I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming a friend with Donal Leace in Georgetown in 1960. He is a true talent that never received the success that he deserved. He was a student of Roberta Flack who has written a lot about him. I just wish I could get a hold of the latest album he released in 2002. Once you hear him you will never forget him. I hope that Donal is doing well today. Knowing him I'm sure he is still performing and making new fans! Jack Keville

  • kanye west hey mama sampled this

  • if you listen to the old stuff dj premier took for gang starr then youll be listening to a whole new genre of music

  • Wow! He was my teacher @ Duke Ellington School of the Arts. I used to make fun of him in class when he said he really had a record deal back in the day. Guess he fooled me.

  • If you dig this song or his voice, you should hear his version of "Country Road" (yeah, the James Taylor song)

from 1972. The bitch is it can't be found

    anywhere.

  • then dont listen to him

  • oh man i love this song

  • I wish music today would be more like music in the 70s... way more positive messages in the music.

kanye definitely has picked great artists to sample from... I think we need to start appreciating the foundation of todays music by continuing to listen to more of the classic artists

  • if it wasnt for kanye i would of never heard this song, samples keep oldies alive

  • Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rayzeos116 i agree

  • man this amazing!!!

  • he didnt ruin it. he barely did anything to it.

    it was cool.

  • If anything it was a tribute to this guy, Kanye didn't ruin it.

  • @djbummy16 Who is Kanye?

  • @dkparamore1 Kanye West. The douchebag everybody knows who creates music that everybody loves

  • @djbummy16 more like a tribute to his mother

  • you know, the one reason this song is so famous is 'cus Kanye did a real good sample from his "Hey Mama" song.

    it's really really awesome.

    thanks for the upload.

  • hey its hey mama!?

  • This is sooo soulful...!

  • Hey Mama, i wanna scream so loud for you...

    =]

  • I like both versions. Kanye sampled this very well. After listening to this one over and over, I'm really loving this version.

    DOWN SOUTH!!!

  • i completely agree man this song is 15 years older than me, and i think its just great.

  • noice

  • damn! good job Kanye!

  • Kanye West- Hey Mama

  • Hey mama!

  • Kanye is a great but this song, this song right here, this song right here is awesome!!!!! OMG Donal Leace made my day...

    Lalalalalalalalalalalala <3

  • i love it

one of my faviorte songs of all time

    A GEEEEE HUR

  • This is the song it was sampled from. Great song.. Love to discover new music through other music..

  • Yes! Me too!

    Specially all that Kanye samples!

  • Kanye doez that to me ALL the time

  • Kanye is a musical historian that has an ear out of this world.

  • If not for Kanye's samples, I would've missed out on a lot of great older songs.

  • Exactly. I have discovered brand new music that I would have never listened to if it wasn't for sampling. Rappers and other artists sample these classic songs and they turn it into their own. I love it.

  • muthafuckin' genius, lyrical wordsmith, he's the muthafuckin' voice of a generation!!!

    FUCK KANYE!!!

    Donal Leace however is awesome.

  • A hater is really a confused admirer. Think about that.

  • I'm not a hater, I have nothing to envy of him. I just know when someone is whack and Kanye is whack.

  • man who ever u are ur def. a hater nd u must def. envy him HATER!!!

  • Yet you take your time and listen to him. Ignore him if he's wack-- Like I said a confused admirer.

  • You sir are pathetic!!!!!Did the pedophile who touched you look like Kanye????You are a serious headcase.

  • now you're using pedophilia as an insult like it's something to laugh about? and I'M pathetic? I think you're the "serious headcase" here. FUCK KANYE.

  • Ok man you win. Fuck kanye!! I hope you feel better! LOL.

  • I'll feel better only if you mean it.

  • lol. i don't.

  • just as I suspected. it's alright, you'll understand someday.

  • man who ever you are you need to spell shit out otherwise you look like an idiot, I don't hate, I only love. all I'm saying is that Kanye is an overrated loud mouth (not outspoken please differentiate the two) cat in the hat as rapper who puts more effort on how he looks thank on what he spits. that's all I'm trying to get across. open you mind for fuck's sake!!!

  • @steveolio hey do you like rap music

  • I love Hip-Hop! I listen to it everyday. GangStarr, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, NWA, Public Enemy, Cannibal Ox, Jedi Mind Tricks, Army of the Pharaohs, the list goes on and on and on...

  • @steveolio oh okay i get you now, do you like anyone thats new

  • Army of the Pharaohs is a relatively new group so is La Coka Nostra I like them. I like Rakewon's new album a lot, does that count? I like some of The Game's shit, is he considered new? Most (not all) of the new shit is just whack, plain and simple.

  • @steveolio and now the world will know and understand why you don't like kanye west

  • A fucking men to that, that's the whole point of this whole "internet" thing, communication, opinions, discussions, disagreements, even agreements. thank you for participating.

  • ur retarded army of the pharaohs and la coka nostra have been around for a whileee dawg none of them are new bro

  • beautiful!

  • hey mama kanye west right?

  • yessir
