  • Soviet Long Live, and Communism will be the victor

  • I don't know how these Russians do it....but they sure can make a hell of a freaking anthem!

  • Is it nerdy to say the low brass sounds amazing?

  • does anyone know the first stanza entirely from cod4...I do

  • this national anthem trumps the american anthem for 2 reasons:

1.Anyone can sing it (it doesnt go too high or low).

2.It sounds more masculine and proud than ours.

  • in soviet russia flag salute you!

  • If Russia is no longer a communist nation, why have they kept lyrics in their national anthem, which are about how great communism is?

  • @jleer1 This is the Soviet anthem but I think they have changed it. Melody is same but lyrics are maybe different. Not sure though.

  • I play this when I pick Swain in League of Legends. GLORY TO THE NOXIAN MOTHERLAND !

  • Though I regard the old Soviet Union as a corrupt and bloated empire of tyranny that deserved to fall, this anthem is quite inspirational and makes you feel the pride that the Russians had in their country and themselves.

  • @girlgarde Very stirring anthem. Reading your comment makes me think: regardless of other opinions U.S. citizens have, the prevailing concern right now is the fear of those same traits taking hold in our national leadership. We Americans should take care that our homeland never fills that roll.

  • @JGott0001 Agreed. Since I'm Canadian, the last thing I want is to see America become an aggressor state since Canada would be the first target of an imperialist U.S.

  • I love this song. It's always stuck in my head. By no means am I communist or love another country more than my own, but you can really feel the pride of a country and their people into their leaders. It is beautiful and most powerful, especially with the Red Army Choir singing it.

  • I'm american, and I believe this anthem takes the cake any day. Damn, I think I got something in my eye...

  • anonymous, please stand for the national anthem.

  • why did it changed from red army to spetnaz

  • @sawedman Spetsnaz are special forces? There is still a Russian army. Plus they are no longer communist :)

  • Proud To Be RUSSIAN TOLKA TAK

  • FOR MOTHER RUSSIA COMRADES!!!!

  • We also have toilet paper!

  • @metkoman WE HAVE FREEDOM! AND A BUNCH OF GOLD MEDALS FROM THE LAST OLYMPICS, GOTTEN BY ALL OUR BLACK ATHELETES, YOU JEALOUS SOB!!!

  • :') the amount of times i was fighting on the winning side of cod4 are like blisful memories with this anthem adding the icing onto the cake.

  • home of the free! XD that's BS lol, speak badly about your government and they would kill you lol

  • 2,931 RED ARMY PPL AND 150 REBELS

  • beginning is CoD4 Spetznaz victory

ending is CoD W@W Red Army victory

  • In Soviet Russia country proud of you!

  • "Atlets"?

Americans, metkoman, gave us government of branches separate from and having power over each other, electrical air conditioning, a liquid-propellant rocket, heavier-than-air flight, jazz, a polio cure, "All men are created equal," a film-reliant camera, the first "permanent" pacemaker, a vacuum cleaner, the transistor, the Pill, the computer you're sitting at, the YouTube you’re communicating on, and the envy of people who seem to wish to deny all that, and more.

  • i find this insparational and i'm not even Russian

  • Why can't we all be friends?

Because if America and Russia ever truly joined in matrimony the rest of the world would shit its pants in fear.

  • @kritchandler That is what we should have done in the 1980's. Had we helped the Russians instead of the Afghan rebels, Osama bin Laden would have been dead a long time ago and 9/11 very likely would never have happened.

  • im russian too fuck u north korea u will die if u attack america.

  • To be Russian means to look back on the past, forgive and forget. Everyone has the part of the Motherland inside of them that gives them the bravery to do what they must and to be who they sometimes must be in order to succeed in life. That is what it means to be a patriot to your country, and to the glorious motherland. I hope everyone realizes this in the way I have as well. Thank you.

  • awesome anthem

  • Comment removed

  • I find it a wonderful melody.

  • I'm American. Why are we cursed with a shit national anthem that is routinely mangled? USSR, I wanna trade.

  • @Christhefireshark I agree good call

  • ☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭☭

  • In WW2 many Russians died of drink in basements. LOOL

  • Beautiful piece of music this is. Probably the best National Anthem...ever. I'm an American, but as far as songs go, Star-Spangled Banner honestly pales in comparison to this. On a side note, I was playing TF2 the other day and someone Micspammed this. It was the most dramatic game I'd ever played.

  • Greetings and respect to my russian friends from a proud greek

  • Beautiful melody, pathetic lyrics. Fuck communism.

  • @VirDiligo Don't equate Stalinism with communism. That's like equating George Bush's policies with capitalism.

  • in soviet russia anthem sings YOU.

    haha russia's legit

  • 149 people are capitalist

  • @majorbologna GOOD!!!

  • How many of their own people did the Communist kill in the gulags in the name of this anthem? I'm sure it was in the millions!!!

  • @albatross7677 They tried to kill everyone but didn't have enough time. :)))

But in reality, modern Russia has lost more people since the dissolution of the USSR than during those dark times of Stalin's repressions. If you want to destroy a nation you don't necessarily need Stalin and gulags.

  • @DivineInterceptor This is true! Just look at what Obama is doing to the USA.

  • @albatross7677 actually it wasn't millions, only 160,000 people died in the labor camps. The number varied from from 5.2% in 1934 to 0.3% in 1953. Deaths in the labour camps were caused by the general shortage of resources in society as a whole, in particular the medicines necessary to fight epidemics. This problem was not confined to labour camps but was present throughout society, as well as in the great majority of countries of the world.

  • @albatross7677 not just in gulags they openly arrested and shot millions of 'enemies of the state' in the great terror

  • @albatross7677 Every society has its pros and cons. America is definitely far from a utopia.

  • @albatross7677 America is not perfect, However I would not trade our system of government for the Soviet model. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  • 147 people are smart!

  • 4th of july faggots.

  • I can't believe that such a big group named USSR just vanished on one day... in seconds...

  • at 2:50 till the end does it sound familiar??

  • Beautiful melody, but very ugly in what it represents (direct murder of 100m people).

  • @luisgentil Data Source? 100 million would entail a zero/ slightly negative net population growth for the entire soviet period, given demographic figures for births & territorial shifts.

  • @Scientisticsoviet amazon . com / Black-Book-Communism-Crimes-Repression / dp / 0674076087

  • @luisgentil Ah, but book puts the death toll of 100 million to that of all "socialist" regimes, and not specifically to that of just the Soviet Union. Even then, of the 20 million ascribed to the USSR, around 12 to million are placed on famine, which most historians in field do not ascribe to deliberate policy of extermination (Tauger, Davies, Wheatcroft, Rosenfielde, & even cold warrior Conquest etc.). And even figures are debatable if you look at the research (cont.)

  • @luisgentil (cont.) I myself using the numbers from wikipedia's "Soviet Demographics" page have calculated about 11 million, which included natural deaths & the deaths of second famine.

Aside, I thank you for taking the empirical issue seriously, as even though I have issue with your source, it is still better than mere hearsay or ideological blindfold.

  • in soviet russia

    national anthem sing YOU

  • I will make a point which, in my opinion, summarizes everything:

Capitalism sounds good in words, but is a lot more horrible in practise.

    That same goes to communism.

    Only there's one difference:

Capitalism doesn't work, even if the whole world is capitalistic.

Communism however, is succesful if the WHOLE WORLD is communistic.

Look at China; a farm country, communistic, and now one of the mightiest countries of the world.

Look at Soviet Union: a farm country, commie, and a world power!

  • i love this anthem

  • lol childrens , you want to hear a REAL ANTHEM ?

    search for ARGENTINIAN ANTHEM ;)

  • Say what you will about the Soviets, but they had a really badass anthem. Like everyone's saying, it makes the US anthem look piddly.

  • But don't worry. After public outrage, after the Yeltsin years it was readopted, albeit with new lyrics. But it is outstanding...

  • Such triumphalism! The uplifting lyrics, the staunch imagery, the booming baritones – It’s gotta be the mother of all national anthems! I need a moment to dry my eyes and clear the lump in my throat. Phew - powerful stuff! I MUST play again…and again…and again. I’m now standing in front of map of old Soviet Union(wtf?) I hate communism but strangely find it attractive now. I LUV THIS SHIT!(I said that?) I’M ON A HIGH! (wtf happening to me?) I'M DOING THE KOZACHOK NOW!!!(WTF?)

  • The only national anthem written by a committee (and fine tuned by Serge Prokofiev and Stalin amongst others) but it certainly beats uninspiring crap like "God Save the Queen" or the US Anthem which was based on an old English Drinking Song.

  • @mabwallace The US Anthem is based on an old English Drinking Song, that had high enough notes that most people couldnt even sing it...

  • A thing that I've always said, and still think, is that the Russians have made the most epic music ever, especially within the military and other powerful songs

  • Comment removed

  • no doubt, beautiful national anthem, but it doesn't change the facts

  • the Soviet Union made Mother Russia into what it is today.

we may have a long, dark history, but we are NOT ashamed of one bit of it.

at least im not. weather it be Czarist Russia, Soviet Russia or Russian Federation, i will always be proud of my Motherland.

  • @AlekseyTimoshenko And how many million Russians died at the hands of your beloved Stalin? Your patriotism is irrational. The truth is that Russia has always been a violent, evil country. Today nothing has changed. You have nothing to be proud of.

  • @gregboyds

Go fuck yourself! We Russians have every right to be proud of our motherland, and that’s more than you can say about what ever shit hole of a country you came from.

  • @AlekseyTimoshenko Don't worry about the yanks that are badgering your motherland, they're simple idiots, Don't let them get to you ok? ^_^

    sincerely,

    An american puerto rican buddy.

  • @Shogunelite

thanks man, glad to see Russia still has support.

  • @gregboyds So you single out a country based on the judgement of a single person that several people were proud of? I know a few russians and they're pretty cool people, so mind you respect is given both ways but if you're going to be close minded about them I'll assume that you're a simple minded retard too. Don't reply to me either, I'm not going to argue with you.

    Sincerely yours,

A puerto rican american with a brain that knows how to show respect to others and what they believe in.

  • @AlekseyTimoshenko We shall always be proud to belong to the Great Russia; its a matter of great self esteem, when I state that I had the great Soviet Russia as my motherland

  • @AlekseyTimoshenko irealand supports u

  • @MrGamingreview

thank you, alot of my American relatives are irish.

  • @AlekseyTimoshenko That's the spirit! Despite whatever fate threw against your people, you hung in there and fought on bravely. Though your people have had bad leaders like Lenin and Stalin not to mention dark periods and events in your nation's history, you survived and now, Russia stands as one of the world's major powers. With any luck, your people shall overcome their current problems and obtain the good life you've long desired.

  • @girlgarde

yes, the Russian people have survived through great perils in history, and we hope for many more victories.

  • @AlekseyTimoshenko You dumbass. Russia is pure shit. There is a reason you are speaking english right now. Communism is by far the worst form of government in the world. It isnt coincidence that the poorest country in the world today is communist.

  • @cambadu

    your point?????

  • @cambadu

"Technically" there is no real communist country, except maybe North Korea. Russia really isn't one in that sense, mainly because although communism is a well thought-out idea for a government system, it just doesn't work in the real world because of human needs and wants.

Russia doesn't have a "reason", as you say, why they are speaking English, either. Other countries are too. It's because English is spreading not because Russia has some sort of problem as you imply.

  • @HaguruNoDamashii I think you completly missed what it was I was saying. 1st there are 2 communist countries today, Cuba and North Korea. Communism is full of good intentions but I was merely critisizing Marxist Communism. Communism can never work due to the factor of greed in human nature. Now that guy I was replying to was saying that he was Russian yet he was speaking English. I said there is a reason you are speaking English right now. That was in reference to him not all of Russia.

  • @AlekseyTimoshenko be damn proud of this anthem, as a canadian, i willingly listen to it more than my own XD

  • Who could doubt that if the ideological competition of this planet were carried out with sheet music, Communism would win hands down? In fact, of course, the competition is not and should not be musical. (Indeed, this Alexander Alexandrov composition is now the anthem of the Russian Federation.)

Even without this, Communism musically would sound splendid to the ear hearing The Internationale. Is music why AlekseyTimoshenko is "NOT ashamed of one bit" of the Soviet Union's "long, dark history"?

  • @bangfarang no, its because we Russians are naturally proud of our motherland, and theres nothing foreigners can say or do that will change that.

  • Even this national anthem couldn't save the Soviet Union.....

  • unbeliefeble what a feeling this gifes me

    from Holland

  • when they were singing this 10 man of the kgb was behind them with a shotgun and when they didn't sing good they were executed

  • Blood chilling and spilling, a great song of slaughter, property theft, injustice, and material hypocrisy. Russia dies in the Middle East with no song and very few to bury their dead.

  • I am a proud American but this song is so inspiring. You can hear the dedication to their country in their voices. I know not every Russian is as dedicated to their country as the men singing this, just as I know not every American is dedicated to America. I just feel this song inspires patriotism no matter what your nation.

  • even though i amn't communist, i have to admit, they have the best music (and symbols)

  • Freaking epic, sends tingles down my spine...

  • comunism -.-´

  • I am feeling just a bit less patriotic at the moment.... Such an epic song :/

  • Gotta love this. Somehow. I miss commies.

  • 632 - Slavic king Samo crushed Frankish Emperor Dagobert. I. at Wogastisburg.

1945 - Red Army conquers Berlin...

Who wants to joke us ? We are showing Westerners for more than 1400 years that they are not welcomed in our lands.

"Who comes to our lands with a sword, by a sword shall perish".

    HAPPY VICTORY DAY !

  • happy victory day!

  • BAD ASS.

  • I wouldn't want to live in a country where I could not find toilet paper at the store.

  • A song to a dead empire. Thank you President Ronald Reagan and God Bless America!!!!!

  • @albatross7677 HA! i'm American and i can easily say the Russians can overpower us

  • @TheDreamcookie I see you are dreaming again Dreamcookie.

  • @albatross7677 oh? this is no dream

  • Soviet Union was a great and brave experiment in the history of Human Civilization. Although it lasted for only 74 years, the transformation from feudal agrarian society to the Super Power was a legend.

Salute to Russia, from an Indian

  • @ItsSyamz On the backs of millions of dead Russians, Ukranians, Lithuanians etc etc.......

  • @ItsSyamz Yeah gotta hand it to Russia. It is just a shame that the only thing standing between true equality and theoretically a supply for all is humanity. Unless humans realize that they are all the same, not Australians, Americans, Russians or any nationality, and worked together for the betterment of our society and ecology, then this, unfortunately will go down as an experiment that could have worked, if people didn't derive power from it. Not going to happen in my lifetime unfortunately.

  • In Soviet Russia, banks rob you!

  • ... Soviet anthem is too good. It's unfair, I'm Australian, and I hate the Australian anthem. It's terrible. Why can't Australia have something epic and awesome?

  • @TheMusicalException Our land is girt by sea, that line still makes me freaking brain hurt. We would if we could adopt Waltzing Matilda, at least it is an honest look at our history :-)

  • is this the real anthem? it sounds like it is more USSR because if I remember correctly they have two anthems. USSR and just Russia

  • i wish i could speak russian...

  • I am American born but of Ukranian blood. Like so many that came through Ellis Island my family was given a new name when the Immigration Clerk did not like the sound of our real family name which was Ulyanov, we became Watsons that day.

My Grandmother made sure my cousins and I could speak the native language of Ukraine and it is something that I am intensely proud. That being said the Hymn of the Soviet Union has to be the most beautiful marriage of music and lyrics for a national anthem.

  • Za Matyeri Russya!

  • Russians are frickkin tough - look at FPSRussia if u dont believe me

  • DONT FUCK WITH RUSSIA

  • @arnold4life476 napolean and hitler should have greased up with vasoline before fucking with em

  • @arnold4life476 We did, and we beat their asses. Ever heard of the Soviet Union? Ever wonder why it no longer exists?

  • @arnold4life476 yea im half Russian

  • слава України Радянського Союзу

  • In Soviet Russia unoriginal joke tell you XD

  • I love this national anthem..... powerfull.......

  • FOR MOTHER RUSSIA!

  • The most fucking badass anthem of all time.... certainly suits the most badass army and leaders of all time!!!(Red Army & Lenin, Stalin, Kruschev etc)

  • How is communist china doing so well if the USSR collapsed?

  • I pledge allegiance to the united power of Russia!(im only a little part Russian though)

  • I M NOT RUSSIAN.. BUT THATS 1 HELLL OF AN ANTHEM... RUSSIANS SHOULD BE PROUD!!

  • @danielchouity86 I am proud. I am very proud of my anthem (:

  • for the mother land

  • If they could just edit out references to communism (slavery to the state) and Lenin (massmurder) this would be one of the most beautiful anthems ever written.

  • @joroma77 THEIR communism was bad, yes. What Marx wanted, is good... yet impossible because of our animal instincts.

  • @joroma77 capitalism has the same issues, we just do it to other people. Slavery to the state, if you want to call it that, is done through our need to consume, to make the state "richer'. Mass murder, on the other hand, is done to those who won't let us have our goodies.. oil, lithium, and other gadgety parts. Don't be deluded by the fact that we have more sparkly things, they are just distractions, at least Soviet Russia was honest in what it did. It just went about some things wrong.

  • @sharperoy Capitalism is an economic system, democracy is a political system, the USSR was never truly Communist, and Nazi Germany was certainly not Socialist. Socialism or Communism are possible with democracy, but nobody has ever tried.

  • Comment removed

  • Mankind is capable of very high idealism and aspirations, but we lack the ability to live in peace & harmony... Russia has the unique distinction of murdering 6,000,000 of it's own citizens, not exactly a good advertisement for 'The benefits of Communism', and the Socialists Germany murdered 8,000,000 Jews, Gypsies and dissidents... Capitalism may be greedy and certainly not perfect, but it's Democratic and open to all - thank God for Britain & the USA

  • STARS AND STRIPES BEATS HAMMUR AND SICKEL LOOK IT UP "on askcoach.com"

  • @blackops2815

At least Communists can spell Hammer

  • This makes americas national anthem look like twinkle twinkle little star

  • @Wyguy441 couldnt have said it better myself!!!

  • @Wyguy441

At least Americas national anthem is still sung in the country.

    GO CAPITALISM!!!

  • @Wyguy441 Or, worse, it makes the American national anthem sound like a high society drinking song -- because it is. (c.f. The Anacreontic Song, "To Anacreon in Heaven")

  • @Wyguy441 It is isn't it?

  • Великий могучий Советский союз !

  • I am greek but i love russia more than my country

  • Epic song symbolizing the great legacy of Lenin and beyond, to all my brothers and sisters in Russia, England, Germany, hell across the world: Long live the Motherland

  • communism is like democracy, good in theory, but it doesnt work.

  • @demonruler01 Listen to me my comrade all you are is corrupted by communism you should not talk to her like that if you know that COMMUNISM IS DEAD! YOU HEAR ME! COMMUNISM IS DEAD AND YOU WILL HEAR MY VOICE IF YOU LISTEN

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing ...

  • FUCK red army !

  • SOVIET RUSSIA FOREVER!!!! >:'( (DRAMATIC TEAR DROPS)

  • Beautiful anthem

  • Communism is to keep basic requirements of the people guaranteed. That means no one needs money to live. Health, Education, Food, Housing and Infrastructure is ensured to everyone born. Consumer economy & luxuries come after that. Before Soviet Union no country had experimented this, so it was difficult to tackle its complexity.

Who hates this are giant companies and their mass media who want consumer economy to lead the world. SO YOU NEED MONEY EVEN TO GET BORN AND TO DIE.

  • The US is obviously superior in every way to Russia and the USSR, except for the national anthem.

  • this is on the cod waw credits

  • Great idea gone wrong by dictators

  • this shouldnt be russia's anthem it should be the wolrds anthem

  • Jews
