Hip hop is different from all the other genre's, the way we make our music is totally different from the way rock does, thats what makes us uniquely different from the other genres.
The rap these days makes u believe that rap requires no talent at all and i understand that, but take it way back in the day when there was actually good poets/emcee's who actually take their time to write a poem of great art, that is what rap truly is.
So just do you, no one is forcing to listen to rap.

Personally I like to listen to things with a little more substance than some guy reading his shitty poem over a beat made in Fruity Loops.
I'm going to have to agree with "almightyseancore" and say that in order to impress me a song must have multiple instrumental parts that match the feel of the lyrics, not just a synthesized drumline.
