I just got a black 16gb Ipod. It's so freakin' sexy. Listening music and watching movies feels so good. It's perfect. Buy it.

The only con I can think of is that you'll have to buy the original Apple charger to charge it somewhere else than in computer.

Totally, although the click wheel is quite small. If you find smaller things difficult to use, then look at the iPod classic or touch.

it depends on the format. if you are using a fairly high mp3 or aac format than 8 gb could hold aproximatley 1300~1700. If you use losless (no compression, higher quality) than is significanly smaller.

I have this in blue, and the screen DOES scratch, and the battery life isnt as long as my old 3rd gen Ipod nano. Also, dont get it wet AT ALL! My fingers were wet while i was holding it and the paint melted off of the back...

The new Fourth generation ipod does'nt support Firewire, meaning old docking stations, car stereosystems and nearly everything else wont charge your ipod. a Freaking greedy move from Apple Imho!!

Hey, I've been trying to find a way to modify my ipod 4th gen so that the brightness function resembles the one for 3rd gen. (3rd gen lowest brightness setting allowed for turning the brightness down enough to be able to see in the dark and not eat up battery power and didn't semi-blind you on start up at night.)

Playing with the backlight + brightness features doesn't seem to cut it in this case.

on apple's website it says 36 hours for audio and 6 hours for video. as soon as you get it out of the box i recommend you cycle the battery (drain the battery and then sync it to your ipod)

if you cycled the battery as soon as you got it.other than that you can't change it. i dont know if you can replace the battery, as you can't replace the ipod touch 2nd Gen's battery. my ipod nano 3rd gen battery lasts longer than my touch
