A Siberian tiger might be big but not bigger than a brown bear, yes it may be more agile and quick. But when it comes to strength, the bear out does it by tremendous proportions. You also have to keep in mind the bear has very thick skin, thicker than a tigers. It weighs more and has longer claws, and due to the size of its head bites much harder. So unfortunately the tiger loses, sorry tiger fans its not the baddest land mammal on the planet. lol
same can be said if the tiger is big, some siberian grow to four meters, think about that, that the same size and stregth as bear but with twice the speed and agility
@Washeightz Just becouse something is the same size does not put it at the same strength, Siberien tigers at there natural size only have the bone density of larger black bears. Grizzlys have nearly twice the bone density, and polar bears are about 1/3 denser bones then grizzly, about 2/3 lesser then a rhinos bone density.Bone measures the grade of muscle it can carry befor breaking under pressure.
@Washeightz twice the speed would mean tigers are as fast as cheetahs, they arent much faster especialy the larger they get, bears agility arent far behind they can attack things nipping at there back side in less then a second. And the russian brown bear and american brown bear are much different, one the biggest difference is the claw size, american brown bears claws are more the noticeably bigger.i like cats but theyre defence is very thin making them have to be nearly perfect in their attacks.
@Tornadofromdeventer sure you must be the siberian tiger on youtube that everybody laughs at. Real story...siberian tigers kill adult brown bears weighing over 500 kg.
by biting bear's neck (either arteries or spine), tiger is easily able to kill a bear. What is not easy is for tiger to get through those paws.
Tigers in India are smaller than those in Siberia, yet they regularly hunt Gaur, which is the largest cattle in the world, large males easily weigh over a ton.
@9K58 well biting a the neck won't be an easy task, knowing that the bear has superior size and power and great reflexes for his size. and even if the tiger does bite the neck, how long can he hold on? plus bears are super thick with dense bones. Tiger's and lions are almost even when they fight. And i've seen a video of a BLACK bear, half the size and not near as aggresive as a grizzly fighting a lion, and the lion gave up.
@9K58 Guars neck is not made the same as a grizzly, they have 2 inches of fur and 4.5 inches of fat to get through, and a push force of 1200 pounds each hand, pull force of 600-700 it only takes about 150 pounds of pressure for a grizzly claw to pierce a tigers flesh. The cat would have to be flawless to win one mistake would almost be certain death. but tigers tend to stand and strike when confronted from frontal, wouldnt be the best thing to do against a natural 2 legged walker.
youtube.com/watch?v=kqiGN7FbtFs this is the closest thing on video right now of a fight between a bear and a tiger. although they do seem a little aggressive, they're pretty much just playing. but maybe it'll give an idea of how a fight would play out.
who would be dumb enough to believe a tiger could kill a full grown grizzly the best out of 10 ? the tiger may get lucky just may win once . some things are worth debating over but a tiger against a full grown grizzly is just stupid
show the video where the tiger can kill a full grown brown bear. There is alot of talk about it, but no one has shown that video. A full grown bear can break the back of an elk with a swipe of it's massive paws. Bring on the video, not talk.
It's very possible that a Tiger can take out a full grown Brown Bear because they do it by stealth. Bears have a tremendous ability to pick up scent from a mile or more away, so everything has to work in the Tigers favor. Wind patterns have to be just right and then Tiger can make a surprise attack always from behind and at the back of the neck. No Tiger would take on a Brown Bear directly unless the bear is old and injured perhaps.
I'll say it again....A Brown bear doesn't need to be agressive, they are often lazy. They will walk away from an angry cougar. Unless, they are starving and or feel threatened. A tiger might get them to leave with it's growl. But if they attack, the bear would crush their spine and rip it to peices. That's all. I'm sick of everyone saying that the Tiger could kick the bears ass. That's just false and an obligingly childish point of view. Just stop already!
You know that tigers are also strong animals, like bears. It's not that they are only agile and fast, they're extremly strong too. A lion or tiger could also break the neck of larger animals as bears could.
@swordfish1986 No they couldnt like a bear could, a grizzlies bone density is about twice that of a tiger, and the lions forarms are the only thing near a grizzlies bone density, but even a grizzlies spine bone is slightly denser then lions forarms. A jackal is a small canine slightly bigger than a fox. Sloth bears are small TERMITE eaters.
Just so you understand the difference between a real bear and a sloth, a grizzly BEAR will take on a pack of 14 wolves. A SLOTH "bear," runs away from a small dog.
A real BEAR will kill a Tiger any day of the week. End of story.
I like how all these videos of so-called "tigers killing bears" end with some dude talking and no fighting.

Tiger did well to yawn and leave that grizzly alone. It wasn't all that large as compared to his elders but he wouldn't have been a healthy meal for that tiger.
hhaha u mad cause even this russian man said it and he an expert that tiger dominate bear bear are chicken strong but chicken bear would win face to face but are to pussy and tiger just needs one good ambush and bear of any kind is dead tiger kill tougher animals such as rhino doo.
Apparently all of u who have never actually been to Russia or even see a Amur know more than the experts. A 1200 pound brownie would be more than match than a Amur but I can very well see an Amur takin a Brownie by surprise
@evansrl3 Why do you drop a key point, like the fact that Tigers only kill cubs and very small and youngster females??
Wost of the Bears killed by Tigers are less then 100 kg. Most killed while hibernation. There are not ONE report of a Tiger even attacking a fully grown Brown Bear. Not even while hibernating. So you grasp the fact they kill cubs and stuff like som sort of evidence of dominating Tigers. Grown Brown Bears at normal weight totally dominate Tigers.
@Norwegian73 You can look on THIS site and search "Siberian Tiger known to kill adult brown bear" and you'll find an expert who actually does the research. I'm sure some bears kill the tigers too, just as some tigers kill other tigers, and bears kill other bears.
When they say "Siberian Tiger has killed grown Brown Bears", it means small females (less then 100 kg) most often killed while hibernating. The largest Brown Bear ever documented killed by a Siberian was only 170 kg young female killed while hibernating. hardly any Brown Bears 120 kg + is killed.
On the other hand its documented enough cases of Bears killing large and fully grown male Siberian Tigers. There are not even one known case of an adult male Brown Bear killed.
first of all both animals avoids each other at all cost... second bears does not seek out tigers... in the ohter hand tiger does that to young bears, third,,, this is a true fact, Tige rhave no natural enemie... Only Man. that a true fact said even by an expert and scientisc.. forth both animals can kill each other. but as i said they avoid each other at all cost´s, tiger mostly attacks young or cubs, but they have managed to kill adult a few times, even though they try to avoid each other.
well it true norwegian ugly tiger is more aggressive and master at one ambush to the neck and spine and can make a large brown bear or even polar bear fall like a bitch Amur tiger rule
not a polar bear. Polar Bear in the wild weighs 1600 pounds and can ragdoll a walrus that weighs 3 tons. Polar Bear is probably the 2nd strongest land predator in the world after human.
@RizeoftheN1 You're a dumbhsit on crack delusions...or was it far eastern cultural delusions...a Lion manhadnles aTiger...Bear (Grizzly, Kodiak, and Polar...in that order) handles Lion.
shut the fuck up bears to fear tigers caosue of their stealth power and razor sharp claws ...ok before u talk shit type in bear vs tiger bear owns tiegr not one vid will pop up unless its animal face off.... and that was bull shit... its a comp demo...not real and its a fact that tigers hunt bears google shit throat...
@purefugi21 Hey retard can you show me a video where a tiger kills a fully grown grizly or polar bear? yes, not a black bear or some tiny thing like a honey bear or W/E now stfu and stop worshiping god damn tigers ok. and ye call me sad idc i have watched most of the other related videos and if any1 reading this could look at most of the uploaders names...think...u know, for example we have "Tigerownlion" , "Tigerownsbear" and "Tigersandme" i dont normally comment but these people piss me of xxx
@purefugi21 yeah tigers kill brown bears that are small but to one with equal size or bigger than the bear wins hands down. sharp claws aint got shit on a bears hide. once hit from a big bear would daze or even kill a tiger. a hit from a tiger wouldnt do much to a bear because it has thick bones and skull. a bears claws can just as much cut as the tigers thats a known fact. tigers claws are more for grip . but this fight could go either way just depends on which one wants to live more
For those who do not understand Russian. The author of this film says that, of course, a big brown bear is able to kill a tiger, but such an encounter may happen in "hungry years". For those who want know more, there is a special literature about tiger vs bear conflict. For instance, Chapter 19 in "Tigers of the Sikhote-Alin reserve", also Kostoglod, Gorokhov, etc.
The Siberian Tiger would win prolly about 98% of the time. The tiger is way too fast, agile, and the tiger is actually alot stronger than what people give it credit for.
that is nonsense.. why would a tiger ambush a bear?? it is common knowledge, to those that actually know about tigers that an average tigers hit rate is 1 out of 20 attempts.. & that's against ungulates.. NOT predators that bite, wrestle, claw & overall fight back.. so your logic is nonsense.. it makes NO sense..
Haha, I know for a fact that its not true that tigers win as a rule. Stupid claim. Grown Brown Bears have nothing to fear from Tigers. Thats why they often seek out Tigers and follow them in order to take the Tigers food. Its more of a rule that Tigers have to give up its food to the Bear. Tigers do occationally take cubs and semi adult females in hibernation. But they do not screw with adult Brown Bears.
I have read just about every statistics that excist about this subject. Thats why I know Tigers do not win as a rule. Tigers do not ever attack a grown Brown Bear in a face to face fight. It has to be a cub, youngster or a small female cought off guard. But if a 200 kg grown Brown Bear want to take the food away from a grown Tiger, it will. The Tiger will not try to defend its prey with a real fight, as it will loose. Some fizzle maybe, and then it will walk away.
@PantheraTigrisA if its a ussuri bear which is twice as big as a grizzly bear it would beat a tiger, a while ago to entertain miners in america they used to bet on fights between male lions and grizzly bears, and the bear would win because its power just crushes the bones of a lion, a tiger is a bit bigger than a lion but a ussuri bear is twice as big as a grizzly
I see how patient you have been with these children!
I only did read about mentioning « the bear win as a rule» against tiger and this did came from AVA forum I think, regarding a russian hunter ( I think).
Is hard to take any conclusion from this, but saying that was the tiger the usual winner copying that, is a big gross crap.
@Norwegian73 But they do. Tigers are no pushovers, those forelimbs are alot stronger than people give credit, due largely to a tigers association with sleek, nimble little housecats. It can go anywhere from 70-30 in a large amur tigers favor, to 50-50.
@Norwegian73,once again you incorrect... bears does not often steal food from tiger infact almost never... and a full grown brown bear does and need to have a bit of fear of a tiger cus it can kill a adult brown bear and as it have been porven in many documentals now... and same with the tiger it will not just attack a bear just like that cus it could en dead, and it has happend some times aswell that tiger have failed with killing a bear and ended dead.
@DonChilenito Yr like the Tiger morons...(desparate, delusional, annoying, and depressed) who will put a photo of a Lion and Tiger interacting where a Lion is eating the food it took from the Tiger and the Tiger pawed it playfully (they were mates)...and caption the photo Tiger destroys Lion...where the Lion is oblivious to the Tiger and is just nibbling away.
@Norwegian73, can´t belive you still cant accept the fact that siberian tiger have killed adult brown bears. and adult males. it maybe very rare but they have just accept the fact m8... you have all prof against you with all the documentals in youtube, and witch i´m sure you have seen becouse it looks like your in every single video about bear vs tiger and alweys commenting the same thing... protecting the bear... who that hell cares both are capabel of killing eahc other...
@Norwegian73, first of all both animals avoids each other at all cost... second bears does not seek out tigers... in the ohter hand tiger does that to young bears, third,,, this is a true fact, Tige rhave no natural enemie... Only Man. that a true fact said even by an expert and scientisc.. forth both animals can kill each other. but as i said they avoid each other at all cost´s, tiger mostly attacks young or cubs, but they ahve managed to kill adult sometimes.
@Norwegian73 I totally agree, browns don't need to be agressive or attack, they just walk up and take the food away! if a tiger/lion were to attack, that would trigger the bear's agression..then watch out, I wouldn't want to feel the wrath, or see the fury of an excited and angry brown bear!
@seka1986 I'll say it again....A Brown bear doesn't need to be agressive, they are often lazy.
@wardbundle dude I study animals alot And tiger can kill a bear. Even know bears has huge head and big ass body doesn't mean a bear kill a tiger like that. And reason why tiger can kill a bears because tigers can jump on bears back and use a overhead position grab a bears throat with a fore crawl and bite into the throat. And tigers are very flexible.
@wardbundle Yes, but you're just a dumb, ill-informed human, not a 650 pound cat with razor sharp claws, and well, cat-like reflexes.
Fact is, Bears lose to Tigers. It's hard for you, I know. Your teddy bear gives you security, but, really, you can buy a teddy tiger, and still be on the winning side. They're available online in many places. Even white ones. Go get one now. I'll wait.
@TA152H01 Fuckwad! you still haven't said anything intelligible....go get your fucking facts straight and then prove it to me...show me the documentation that siberian or otherwise tigers can walk up, sneek up and kill a brown/grizzly bear. a full- grown 800 to 1200 lbs grizzly. otherwise shut the fuck up! there are no videos, pictures, written material on the subject. only 1 video of a small adolescent grizzly being pushed around by a full-grown tiger. OK?
@wardbundle Actually, there are plenty that say Tigers sometimes will feed on Brown Bears. Fact is, Bears aren't fighters, but they have human homosexuals, like yourself, that love their teddy bears and want to think they are.
Hell, there's footage of Cougars beating the crap out of Grizzlies. A Tiger is well over five times that size.
@Norwegian73 are you fucked upp i have studin cats in 4 year and tiger and lions not afrid of noting i have sean tiger kill elepanth and bears lol stop talk bullshit and get real facts sry for my eng i am from russian
@Norwegian73 it's not impossible you fool, it does happen but does everything happen in nature and we're always aware of it? fully-grown adult tiger males may challenge grown male Brown Bears, yes there's an increased chance of defeat for the Tiger, but it's swifter, agiler and strong enough to pin the Bear down and leave it feeling gazumped.
i dont care if your pussy bears are stronger cuz tigers cooler!

So you grasp the fact they kill cubs and stuff like som sort of evidence of dominating Tigers. Grown Brown Bears at normal weight totally dominate Tigers.
Norwegian73 1 year ago
@Norwegian73 Where are you cited sources on all these "reports" you seem to be reading?
evansrl3 1 year ago
@evansrl3 Search for "The Siberian Tiger Project" and read their reports. I have more sources and material on this issue than the FBI got on crime.
Norwegian73 1 year ago
@Norwegian73 You can look on THIS site and search "Siberian Tiger known to kill adult brown bear" and you'll find an expert who actually does the research. I'm sure some bears kill the tigers too, just as some tigers kill other tigers, and bears kill other bears.
evansrl3 1 year ago
@evansrl3 Yeees...?
There are not even one known case of an adult male Brown Bear killed.

so do tigers and other big cats walk around in the wild hocking up hair balls?
that would be funny to see.

Only Man. that a true fact said even by an expert and scientisc.. forth both animals can kill each other. but as i said they avoid each other at all cost´s, tiger mostly attacks young or cubs, but they have managed to kill adult a few times, even though they try to avoid each other.

well it true norwegian ugly tiger is more aggressive and master at one ambush to the neck and spine and can make a large brown bear or even polar bear fall like a bitch Amur tiger rule
RizeoftheN1 1 year ago
@RizeoftheN1
not a polar bear. Polar Bear in the wild weighs 1600 pounds and can ragdoll a walrus that weighs 3 tons. Polar Bear is probably the 2nd strongest land predator in the world after human.

MufcBilly 1 year ago
@purefugi21 yeah tigers kill brown bears that are small but to one with equal size or bigger than the bear wins hands down. sharp claws aint got shit on a bears hide. once hit from a big bear would daze or even kill a tiger. a hit from a tiger wouldnt do much to a bear because it has thick bones and skull. a bears claws can just as much cut as the tigers thats a known fact. tigers claws are more for grip . but this fight could go either way just depends on which one wants to live more

@RizeoftheN1 What is the guy saying ?
koukoucitydunkers2 1 year ago
For those who do not understand Russian. The author of this film says that, of course, a big brown bear is able to kill a tiger, but such an encounter may happen in "hungry years". For those who want know more, there is a special literature about tiger vs bear conflict. For instance, Chapter 19 in "Tigers of the Sikhote-Alin reserve", also Kostoglod, Gorokhov, etc.
alexious1973 1 year ago 6
xort ur whack man video suggests tiger wins majorite casue of ambush.
RizeoftheN1 1 year ago
The Siberian Tiger would win prolly about 98% of the time. The tiger is way too fast, agile, and the tiger is actually alot stronger than what people give it credit for.

@Tigerownsall1 "prolly"?? hauahahauhauhauhauhauhauhauhauhau ! !
LesCrapio 1 year ago
that is nonsense.. why would a tiger ambush a bear?? it is common knowledge, to those that actually know about tigers that an average tigers hit rate is 1 out of 20 attempts.. & that's against ungulates.. NOT predators that bite, wrestle, claw & overall fight back.. so your logic is nonsense.. it makes NO sense..
pussylicker24 1 year ago
THe only mention about who wins as a rule, was about brown bears killing tigers and was russian poster that said that, I think.
But I can check that.

yes this russian dude tells that tiger dominate yes panthrrea tigris.
polar are even bigger chickens
RizeoftheN1 2 years ago
Haha, I know for a fact that its not true that tigers win as a rule. Stupid claim. Grown Brown Bears have nothing to fear from Tigers. Thats why they often seek out Tigers and follow them in order to take the Tigers food. Its more of a rule that Tigers have to give up its food to the Bear. Tigers do occationally take cubs and semi adult females in hibernation. But they do not screw with adult Brown Bears.

read the statistics in video discriptions (shish02)
PantheraTigrisA 2 years ago
I have read just about every statistics that excist about this subject. Thats why I know Tigers do not win as a rule. Tigers do not ever attack a grown Brown Bear in a face to face fight. It has to be a cub, youngster or a small female cought off guard. But if a 200 kg grown Brown Bear want to take the food away from a grown Tiger, it will. The Tiger will not try to defend its prey with a real fight, as it will loose. Some fizzle maybe, and then it will walk away.

@PantheraTigrisA statistics dont prove anything
PEAKSTREETS 9 months ago

@Norwegian73 haha nei, en sibirisk tiger ville ganske lett ta en bjørn, du tenker sikkert på de indiske tigerne
NWA90s 1 year ago
@Norwegian73,once again you incorrect... bears does not often steal food from tiger infact almost never... and a full grown brown bear does and need to have a bit of fear of a tiger cus it can kill a adult brown bear and as it have been porven in many documentals now... and same with the tiger it will not just attack a bear just like that cus it could en dead, and it has happend some times aswell that tiger have failed with killing a bear and ended dead.
DonChilenito 1 year ago
@DonChilenito Yr like the Tiger morons...(desparate, delusional, annoying, and depressed) who will put a photo of a Lion and Tiger interacting where a Lion is eating the food it took from the Tiger and the Tiger pawed it playfully (they were mates)...and caption the photo Tiger destroys Lion...where the Lion is oblivious to the Tiger and is just nibbling away.

@Norwegian73 I totally agree, browns don't need to be agressive or attack, they just walk up and take the food away! if a tiger/lion were to attack, that would trigger the bear's agression..then watch out, I wouldn't want to feel the wrath, or see the fury of an excited and angry brown bear!
wardbundle 11 months ago 11
@wardbundle You mean a Siberian tiger has no aggression and would walk away?
seka1986 8 months ago
@seka1986 I'll say it again....A Brown bear doesn't need to be agressive, they are often lazy. Just stop already!
wardbundle 8 months ago
@wardbundle dude I study animals alot And tiger can kill a bear. Even know bears has huge head and big ass body doesn't mean a bear kill a tiger like that. And reason why tiger can kill a bears because tigers can jump on bears back and use a overhead position grab a bears throat with a fore crawl and bite into the throat. And tigers are very flexible.
260kevinsutton 8 months ago
@wardbundle Yes, but you're just a dumb, ill-informed human, not a 650 pound cat with razor sharp claws, and well, cat-like reflexes.
Fact is, Bears lose to Tigers. It's hard for you, I know. Your teddy bear gives you security, but, really, you can buy a teddy tiger, and still be on the winning side. They're available online in many places. Even white ones. Go get one now. I'll wait.
TA152H01 5 months ago
@TA152H01 Fuckwad! you still haven't said anything intelligible....go get your fucking facts straight and then prove it to me...show me the documentation that siberian or otherwise tigers can walk up, sneek up and kill a brown/grizzly bear. a full- grown 800 to 1200 lbs grizzly. otherwise shut the fuck up! there are no videos, pictures, written material on the subject. only 1 video of a small adolescent grizzly being pushed around by a full-grown tiger. OK?
wardbundle 5 months ago
@wardbundle Actually, there are plenty that say Tigers sometimes will feed on Brown Bears. Fact is, Bears aren't fighters, but they have human homosexuals, like yourself, that love their teddy bears and want to think they are.
Hell, there's footage of Cougars beating the crap out of Grizzlies. A Tiger is well over five times that size.
Now go cuddle your teddy bear, fruitcake.
TA152H01 5 months ago
@wardbundle Then again, Siberian tigers eat brown bear, so does grizzly. A clash between grizzly and Siberian tiger would be.. beastly.
