Because I can't fathom any other way to pursue this; Among friends I had a random, and to us, revolutionary thought. Voltaire singing a medley of songs en-tandem with (if you've heard of them) The Jolly Rogers, a renn-fest frequenting pirate music band. I personally think anything from the To the Bottom of the Sea album.
Voltaire, this son is my exact thoughts on religion in a nutshell. That you capture emotions in songs like this and do it some well is amazing and wonderful and is why I buy your albums and listen to your music.
beautiful melody, great rythm, your amazing voice, the very-well written lyrics, I just listened to it now while I was reading the lyrics and I'm still shocked!
voltaire im a huge fan i know a couple songs of yours on guitar and your a huge inspiration to me but what guitar strings do you use? they have a thin sound not that think acoustic sound and i love the thin sound but i jus cant tell what it is
OMG!! I love this song, sounds like Calloway, Corpse Bride, Mardi Gras and Day Of The Dead Together, I want buy the CD but I don't have credit card, you don't know were can buy the cd in Mexico?? I tried mixup, but no success in my search :'(
Excuse me, sir, but if the album is released, is there any reliable place I can order it from to my country? You're not very well known here, so I could swear I cannot find your album anywhere in here, and trust me, I've tried to look for your other albums. So it would be nice to know if there's actually a place I can buy it since I really want to support you :)
This hits the world's frustration spot-on. Any time I think about this kind of thing, I just remind myself that, despite how it looks, we've actually come a long way. The dark ages used to be a helluva lot worse. We live in heaven compared to the past.
@petergof242 Absolutely! You can always go send money via paypal to voltaire@voltaire.net Just be sure to mention that it's a donation. That's very kind of you to ask!
@VoltaireMusicPage I just wanted to ask, how long did it actually take you to come up with the ending, "People on the street" to "You should take a look around lord, your world is just the pits" part? It's my favorite part of the whole song and I find it amazing that someone can come up with a ending like that that fast and that amizingly good. Thanks, you're the greatest!
@VoltaireMusicPage i have a question, are you religious and i don't mean that you subscribe to one particular religion because it doesn't seem like it from your music but im just asking what you do in fact believe
People have been asking about genre... but in terms of style (Relating to tone colour, feel ect.) I would say this is Dixieland. Genre more applies to films and such.
@AhcriSlate I've wondered that as well for some time now , and I've arrived to the conclusion that he's way past any single genre , Voltaire is unique onto what he does
"He's gonna get a mighty load of me when I sound off
In the way of kick right in his eye"
I now have the most awesome image in my head of Voltaire giving a Chuck Norris Roundhouse kick to a Jesus freak
VOLTAIRE RULES!

So much pathos in your music, my friend. The Cajun and swing influences, the powerful lyrics. Everything about it is great.
