For our complete performance of the Peer Gynt incidental music we used an English narration based on Ibsen's play (prepared by John De Lancie). But all the sung vocal numbers used the original Norwegian. The result in this number is that the spoken interjections are in English (for an English-speaking audience) while the singing is Norwegian.
