If U want just to read buy Kindle for $69.99. I bought Sony $115.99 for my necessities as PDF files and downloading files quicker from my comp or thru Wi-Fi.
i am a newbie in this ebook readers and am relly confused which one to purchase but as i can see the best is sony for sure right??
so my question is...is it possible i have many pdfs on my laptop and this is the reason why i wanna buy such a device...now can i send those pdfs from my laptop to the sony reader?? thanks alot
@robraab 6" inch e-ink pearl display is not much comfortable for PDF files. Look for IPad or Kindle DX instead or any other tablet with quick and responsive display.
I've been watching all your e-reader review vids.. all very informative. Sony is actually having the 99$ sale again, and it's even cheaper if you get it off their educational online store. I'm leaning towards Sony due to the better PDF support and the physical buttons.
I've heard that the screen is more reflective than other e-readers though, is this true? Also, is a case recommended? Don't really feel like investing in one.
I really like the Nook Simple Touch but some things I'm wondering if they can be fixed by the user... the partitioning scheme, 750 MBs for B&N Content and 250 MBs for sideloaded content and the possibility to install the Kindle App
great comparison. I have a K4 on order so interesting to see what some of the other readers are capable of. i agree, Kindle's home screen is ass, very ugly - they really need to get a graphic designer on to that, also they should add some fonts so you're not stuck with just one serif and one sans serif font.
Great review! The Kindle Touch isn't available in Ireland yet, (probably not till early in the new year). :( So for me, I guess it's Sony all the way! Thanks for your video! :D
Better pdf support, epub and comic support, smoother web browser, audio and android apps if rooted (include text-to-speech, more reader apps, more fonts and dictionaries), multilingual dictionaries... Sony wins.
Thank you for all your videos. I checked these 3 models and the Kobo here and with your homepage before choosing Sony's ereader and I couldn't be happier :)
Can you put a comparison review between the Kindle Touch vs the Sony Reader PRS-T1?
tehhhn1999 1 day ago
PRS-T1 for USD99? In Japan it's sold at around 18000 JP yen which is about USD225 at current currency rate. Sony is cheating.

No mention of storage space? Is it not really an issue on any of them?
arkilmer 1 month ago
@arkilmer If you have 99999books then Sony has a SD card slot, expand to whatever size you want.

I bought the sony e-reader. My opinion pretty much matches the onion review of Sony's new piece of shit that doesn't fucking work. Google that.

There was originally a web browser in the nook but b&n removed it for some unknown reason. I doubt they will add it back

Sony PRS-T1 is my second reader. I simply love it and hope it will last for more than a year

Only get an ereader if you want to whack it with a baseball bat in frustration of the worst Internet browsing experience ever.

@Ushvin18 That isn't why you get an eReader! You READ with it.

The Kindle may beat the PRS and Nook when it comes to content options and ebook pricing, but the Nook and Sony Reader are much better devices.
