Cool video, but we need to broaden our image of what "mixed" looks like. I know people who are mixed, yet others do not believe they are, because their skin is either too fair (white) or too dark (black). Just like any ethnicity, mixed people come in a variety of colors. Not all mixed people are "high-yellow," "red-boned," or "light-skinned." There is the occasional, white-skinned mixed person and black-skinned mixed person.

I myself are mixed with american indian, black, and white (<---- russian decent of all !) I look like an American Indian with wavy long brownish/dark red hair,very fair skin tone,I high cheekbones, typical "indian" nose, and the slender body of a lakota.It always depends which gene is more dominant.

Therefore, she was English in every sense of the word. It shows that no one really “owns” a culture. @southwesttex2 It depends. Most of the time, there is no race at all on birth certificates. In some states they go by the mother's race & sometimes it's the fathers. In the state I reside it, race has not been on birth certificates for a long time.

Therefore, she was English in every sense of the word. It shows that no one really “owns” a culture. Spaniards, I have seen, blend with women of the Philippines rather than from sub-Saharan countries, and, yes, they do tend to have more dark-skinned people.

@briarts, You know, excuse me, he may have changed. I haven't really followed him in over 5 yrs. But in the past he has evaded the mixed label or any references to being part black. Previously people consider him Italian and he never publicly corrected it. But I think once it got out that he was part black too he hasn't been able to dodge the mixed label. So, he may have embraced it. I don't know because his career kind of fizzled and I stopped hearing about him. He vanished from mainstream.

So is Halle Berry's daughter. If they want to ID as black or mixed that's up to them. But to me they are white. I wouldn't consider either one black. At the very least mixed, but really "white". If you really are 1/4 black...to me you are white. If you mate with a white person your kid is white, no bones about it.
