I liked seeing that guy with his hands in the air.. which is the way I felt after a rave in those days (this was toward the end of those days). The most difficult times is when these days came to an end and all you had were shitty parties. ...loved the fucked up guys at 2:37 and the naked guy at the end. Classic footage. Please keep it posted and thanks.
Thank you for posting this. I was there when this was played. This was also the last time I saw my friend alive before he decided to something stupid and unreversible. It's nice to be reminded of great times with a great person. Thanks again.
@urbanra5caL I thought it sucked too in 2000. '99 was awesome...which is why i had to go in 2000 - '99 I was trippin balls, all hugged up and sweaty from dancining.... good memories.....dude....good memories....
yup.....this was one of the best memories EVER. This song is "Seven Cities" by Solar Stone....i disagree with whoever on here said it sucked when the lights came on...i thought that was the best part.
I am the guy with the orange hat making out in the end of this with a really good friend... wow those armory parties were sick. buzz in dc,fever in baltimore and shelter/tunnel/limelight/soundfactory/twilo...etc in ny really cultured me into a very positive fun loving guy.... hope you are the same and thanks for the memory
Talking about the good old days when you could go to a party in the early afternoon and go to late in the morning the next day. The after party at Buzz and The Edge were just as good. The glory days of armory events are now part of the mid/late 90s. The scene has changed too much and highly doubt it will ever go back to being the same. I do remember Lonnie had a band perform at this party which was rather weird.
this...and all armory parties for that matter were SICK. I remember Moby tearing up a live set their, even Boy George sounded good spinning there....but the basement at these parties were fucking CRAZY, many a hole i fell into down there lol
damn I got chills from seeing this clip. Man this makes me wish I was old enough in the 90s to expiernece the boom of edm culture. Nothing but disunity and bad vibes these days:(
Brings me back, thanks so much for putting it up I actually was with P.A.W.N. doing the lasers for the party, the video brought back memories of an awesome event, seriously thanks so much!
ultraworld had parties aka "raves" once a year for a few years in the dc armory. usually 'round thanksgiving time. i went in, like 1997, 98, 2002. not illegal. lonnie fisher rules! viva RAVE!!!
nope, no video from downstairs. though, im 100% sure that others videod this party as well (in this video that i uploaded you can see at least 1 other person filming); so maybe the video does exist...
i did some video of this party as well...but the tape is long gone. There was a ton of video from downstairs, but the speaker stacks pretty much ruined any quality that I could get out of the basement.
Thank you so much!!! Man when the house lights went on everyone went nuts. Everyone was hugging complete strangers gives me chills just thinking about it. wish the vibe was still like that. I'd love to see more footage if you have it.
thanks for posting! I was there that year as well as the energize party and that was one of the best venues ever!

Man is it just me or does video remind anyone of the saddest part of a rave, the end.
So many downtrodden ravers.

btw, was this a legal or illegal event?
ufo1216 4 years ago
this was a legal event. that would have been some feat to pull off an illegal event at the dc armory!
mortalicious 4 years ago
does the dc armory still have events like this?
