This was terrible its not bachata at all. Being Dominican myself this is not Dominican style and its not even normal bachata that usually non-Dominican people dance. Its true you can give it your own style. But dont make it into a salsa or tango which is what they did with the movement, poses and turns. FYI @pantherarmbar the count is actually fast not slow pa que te tu vea.

I believe that they're dancing pretty well, no it's not true Dominican stlye bachata but its nice though. Even when they're dancing slow he's still with the beat it's just a super slow count to a fast beat. Anybody that understands rythm knows that you don't have to move to every beat. Me encanta bailar la bachata Dominicana pero es ok si se puede cambiar el stilo...............un poquito.

One other thing. The people that are posting negative comments have never been to a Salsa congress or even taken a Bachata workshop and they are speaking as if they are the experts. Go to a few congresses learn from the best then talk all you want.

Wow some of these people are pretty convicted in their idiocy. They aren't dancing fast enough... Really? They chose to use the entirety of the music rather than skim on top of the beat which misleads poorer dancers into thinking that its fast. Good dance and great style.

You don't know anything about Bachata so don't comment. The leader can do what ever he wants with the dance as long as they are on beat and they were. You're not supposed to march an entire song out. Hes obviously flirting with the girl starting and stopping, mixing it up, etc. A real dancer enjoys that kind of dance. A typical club dancer with no training may not.

Hmm... I dont know anything about Bachata because you say so? Sure. Sure ;-)

In my Dominican family we were all taught to dance Bachata and Merengue since we were little at family gatherings, parties or simply weekends at home. Its a cultural thing and its part of our heritage.

Between this, and yearly family trips to la Republica Dominicana, seeing relatives and family friends dance Bachata the way its done where this music style was born, I would hardly call that knowing "nothing"

I get what you are saying. I'm Dominican also. We had parties every weekend growing up. I had the same up bringing and I really enjoyed every bit of it. The thing is there are two different worlds here. There are the trained dancer which I am now and a typical club dancer what I used to be and what you are referring to. They are two different styles and neither is wrong. You cant just say that the guy is wrong to dance that way when you don't even know that style. DR style is not the only one.
