  • theres a new hobby. ima start collecting snowflakes in my freezer.

  • I knew it had to do with learning.

  • English please.

  • Get the book

    "the Last Sorceror"

all about the religious/alchemy interests of Sir Isaac Newton

he invented the math/physics he used as TOOLS to prove all was true in the bible....

real knowledge will set you free

not this BS manufactured consent we embrace...

  • @islandbuoy4 the bible is fake, in a thousand years people will probably worship harry potter

  • @moleboythedrummer100

how about the Qabalah, the I Ching?

    fake too?

duh they are ALL theories of everything.

so why not compare them ALL?

these former theories will help confirm NOT deny what science is discovering today.

    namaste

  • @islandbuoy4 all fake

  • @moleboythedrummer100

you are clearly ignorant of the facts of life dude

    how old are you?

    like 18?

    namaste

  • @islandbuoy4 no, i just dont believe in fairy tales

  • hey mr. singing banana dude

why don't you ENLIGHTEN folks about how SNOWFLAKES = GRAPHENE?

    GRAPHENE

ONE atom thick hexagonal sheets of CARBON that is going to CHANGE the world?

What is the problem of the world in one word?

'GEOMETRY' is a RIGHT BRAIN function unlike algebra and calculus and written text.

Essentially the dumb and numb public school system tends to promote the LEFT BRAIN nonsense over the holistic RIGHT BRAIN.

We need to promote the ARTS more, and math only BS less.

    namaste

  • @islandbuoy4 Wikipedia: Lateralization of brain function. The problem with the school system is just a little deeper than that.

  • @islandbuoy4 you're clearly one of the less bright children seeing as how you "want to promote the arts more". instead of becoming a deadbeat artist living off welfare why don't you learn something useful and get a real job.

  • @PattyObrien616 that is quite the stupid assumption that I am an artist. duh I am retired...maybe I wish I was an artist is music an art ignorant folks like yourself diss ALL the artists in the world why? ah I forgot you are an ignorant low life human who loves the mundane and profane? and you are obviously somebody who likes the numbers 616 and 666? do you have a bible in the end table? and a revolver in your glovebox lol
  • @islandbuoy4 yes

  • Comment removed

  • lol, brittish are so weird, like post-snobbish, some type of humble poshy manners, they would be eaten by every animal here in mexico =D

  • I thought i was getting rik rolled lol.

  • theres gotta be 2same looking snowflakes somewhere... i mean theres bagillion of millions of em... its not like someone went out to check if they're differ..... omg i just got the best idea ever!

  • you live in england?

  • It's snowing right now... THE FIRST END OF YEAR SNOW IN 2010!!!!!!! YAY!!!!

  • god damn your smart

  • So every snowflake is the same in which they all have a hexagonal latus (I think that is what it is called). But they are unique in which what grows off them, right? So basically speaking, every snowflake is the same but uniquely different?

  • I count 24 oxygen and only 30 hydrogen which doesn't make sense unless this is supposed to be a 2-D representation of a 3-D constuct?

  • Interesting trivia

  • If somebody actually did a vid like that i would think there a nert, na only kidding, thats pretty cool, but its not cool weatherwise now so thats not cool, wish it was still snowing, cool vid.

  • Im in birmingham and all our snow has gone now :(

at least we can see the grass now :)

  • question: if you got a balloon of oxygen and a balloon of hydrogen and mixed them together would water randomly fall from the air (would they mix and make water)

  • if you put two parts hydrogen and one part oxyhen into the same balloon, then lit the ballon, then a small pool of water would be left in the exploded balloon but not a right lot (:

  • Go Tom!

  • I love the snow, it seems to make everything look so much better. I've still got about a foot of snow in my backyard, and we're expecting more tomorow =D

  • There, there. It may never happen.

  • i live in houston and we got snow it rarely snows here

  • lucky u got snow ;) in my part of the uk we have no snow :(

  • Bad luck :(

  • I actually alrady knew that... Nice video anyway :), keep it up man..

  • Good stuff. People watch your videos when they're sick of having their minds blown by trippy pop-sci books/programs and want to understand things properly. Mind blowing stuff related to this one be found in "The Monster Group" uploaded by VeritySeeker.

  • I like VeritySeeker too.

  • Maybe I like her(?) because Verity is a girls' name. Been watching her(?) algebra lectures cos I never learnt it properly.

And indeed it has been snowing - you can see Nick's huge snowman on my Xmas medley vid.

  • That is so nice, now I have got another reason to love the winter and snow, every flake is unique. God, how I do love the winter.

  • It snowed in Cheltenham yesterday very heavily

    20cm

  • Cool, it snowed in Cambridge too?

  • Yes it did. This is my back garden in Camb.

  • snowing is awsome.you are so lucky.

    in my town never snows

  • its snowing in uk like u too! :)

  • do you get to review all the face-centred cubic and body-centred cubic matter density theory?

  • No. I've come across lattices in my work in a small way, but I don't study that sort of thing.

  • cool. im in the midlands and cos im in a village theres 1 foot of untouched snow evrywhere

  • Cool! Got it. Using the same theory what would a CO2 snowflake look like?

  • All crystals belong to one of only six symmetry systems. Water is hexagonal, CO2 (I've just looked up) is cubic. This doesn't mean CO2 crystals aresimple cubes, but the shapes of such crystals is determined by that structure. Apparently they have CO2 snow on Mars.

  • Wow, just imagine what that would feel like...

  • You know, I should have known that. Carbon crystals are are cubic. I wonder if CO2 snow might look like raw diamonds floating in the sky. :)

  • that's new for me LOL that must be cold out

    Good job XD

  • You should be a science teacher

  • damnit, couldn't you have posted this a month ago!? Then i would've totally pwnd my teacher with his stupid quiz at school... :D

  • nice earth hum

  • This microphone ruins as many videos as it helps.

  • @singingbanana

I'll have a look at it next time your in... snowing in Kent then?

  • All cancelled. But there was a lot of me hanging about waiting to hear.

  • I suppose you're gonna tell me Santa isn't real either.

  • I lvoe you mr banana. Your vids are always really interesting.

  • I'd have to disagree. There's only a limited number of combinations that will form stable snowflakes/crystals. Since so many of them have fallen, there must be at least have been two snowflakes with the same structure.

    Nice vid, hope you'll reply.

  • Nope, there are an unlimited number of designs of a snowflake, and due to that, no two are exactly the same. That's a fact.

  • I don't think ther have been. maybe there will be. the amount of combinations possible is huge.

  • Yes a limited number of combinations, but a very very large number. Many times larger than all the atoms in the universe. So all complex snowflakes (ever) can be different. Have a look at the link in the description.

  • What if we take into account all snowflakes? Even those in outer space? We can compute how many snowflakes have had to have fallen (at least a rough estimation of a lower bound or something).

  • Oké I checked the links in the description. First of all: AWESOME, second. I think I'll concede. Once I read about the 10^18 I knew I lost my case :-D

  • I still love you FHomeBrew :)

  • Very cleva

  • Its so cool to know stuff i didnt know before!

    Your Awsome!

  • By "nearly symetrical", you mean "μ-almost-everywhere symetrical", right?

    Just kidding ;~b

    Great video, especially underprepared!

  • YOU CRUSHED MY DREAMSSSS!!!

    hahahaha just kidding :P

    great video xD

  • good:P

  • Nice job
