All crystals belong to one of only six symmetry systems. Water is hexagonal, CO2 (I've just looked up) is cubic. This doesn't mean CO2 crystals aresimple cubes, but the shapes of such crystals is determined by that structure. Apparently they have CO2 snow on Mars.

I'd have to disagree. There's only a limited number of combinations that will form stable snowflakes/crystals. Since so many of them have fallen, there must be at least have been two snowflakes with the same structure.

Nope, there are an unlimited number of designs of a snowflake, and due to that, no two are exactly the same. That's a fact.

Yes a limited number of combinations, but a very very large number. Many times larger than all the atoms in the universe. So all complex snowflakes (ever) can be different. Have a look at the link in the description.
