CryEngine 3 was made in mind with the consoles, those ancient pieces of hardware. A mid-end PC can outrun either the 3 or 360 times and times, and that's not counting a high-end build. The physics and graphics are simply bleh compared to the 2nd Engine.

@LarisaFrolova cry engine 3 has tons of improvements over cry engine 2. it's not the engine that looks "worse" (i actually think crysis 2 look better than 1 but...), it's the game. if they remade crysis 1 for pc using cryengine 3 and all of it's new features, it would either look slightly better and run at the same speed, or look about the same and run faster.

@drakenlorde i havnt run it im just saying if everything was bump mapped the game would be choppy on current hardware, i suppose you could use LOD but then if you are in a helicopter like in the video it wouldnt be the beautiful crysis we know and love as in the distance you could see badly textured buildings. Well bad textures compared to the high detail textures in cryisis.

And I'm absolutely sure that an ati 5970/6990 or gtx 580/590 could run such a thing easely. Every games can run smoothly with our actual technology so why don't raised the game goals?
