i really wanna go now that i'm watching these videos, omg cant wait 2 finish high school next yr so i can give it a shot..its my ultimate dream 2 go and study in Korea!!!
@pumpfever No, I've been back for a while. Yonsei's a pretty good school, I'm not sure how the CS departments compare. Have you thought about KAIST? They are very highly ranked for CS
@mattstrum I see, cool. Yeah, KAIST is super famous! but unfortunately it was accepting just PhD students =S, and regarding labs, the one in Yonsei was the one I was more interested in their research (at least of the labs I found online), so I guess it was the best option for me =) Thanks for your answer!
hi,r u there for a sem of exchange program or there as a undergrad?
I wanna go there as the school fees is really cheap and it'd be a good experiences but people around me are saying the Korea's Education system isn't good.. Please tell me I'm not the only one believing in their Education system..
@XxTruSelfxX are you kidding? you probably can't even get into a simple university in america. your gpa sucks. who cares if youre 35/407. SNU wants number 1. not 35. Universities don't care if you tutor, even an eleven year old can do it. Volunteering at church? My dog can do that. Think again.
@theundercoverninja You're obviously a tad bit deluded. SNU is ranked far below most decent American universities, and they accept far lower GPAs. The reason its difficult to get into SNU is because South Korea is still poor compared to the United States and can't provide university placements for all its eligible students, so they have to randomly choose good students to attend from a pool larger than they can accept.
@theundercoverninja you have no idea of what you're talking about. 3.85/4.0 is very good. Are you a SNU student, or were you just offending this kid with you uninformed presuppositions. Maybe SNU are too good, but to say she cant get into a university in america shows you were being an ass.
@boowallie Yeah, I remembered it right after shooting the video lol. Yea, I wasn't sure what to expect with the clubs since they weren't big in the US but I was pleasantly surprised to find they are so active here.
Yeah, I think it's similar across all colleges in Korea. I went to Sogang in the 90s and we also got a room for our organization. We hung out, sometimes ordered food (usually 자장면) for delivery, played games, chit-chatted, etc. What I think was different (not sure how it is these days) from US college culture is that in Korea club activities by undergrad major (e.g., psychology major club, math major club) were very vibrant.
Yeah, the clubs here definitely seem a lot more vibrant. One of the only clubs I ever participated in the states got together every once in a while when we did a event (at the most like once a month). The other one I did was similar, only getting together for special events.
I want to study here as an international student, how much is the cost per semester?

I think the word you're looking for regarding the milk carton thing is "hacky sack"
Wow, clubs definitely are different over in Korea. Here in the US they're half-assed and not really a big thing.
