  • The "Cadillac" of automatic movements...

  • Price?

  • @guitartec

13.25 lignes for the Valjoux 7750.

It's actually pretty small when removed from a watchcase and sitting on a caseholder.

Large 16.5 lignes pocketwatch movements (36.6 mm) are pretty awesome, I like em alot.

Much easier to work on, and aesthetically, more surface area to decorate. The Valgranges seems like a natural choice for the current oversized market. I want the power reserve.

    Enjoy

  • Anyone know how many lignes a 7750 is?

  • what is special about this movement? Looks like an ordinary automatic.

  • not much i think, i mean it has power reserve but i don't see anything else. (I could be wrong though and there might be something very subtle)

  • such a beauty!

  • The name Valgranges reflects where the movements were developed; in Granges. It's actually a misnomer, because there is no Granges Valley; the city sits in the Valee de la Sarine.

  • The Valgranges series is a newly developed series of large, pocket-watch sized automatic movements designed for a growing number of customers demanding larger-sized watches. It is perhaps the only currently produced series of ETA movements which only winds in one direction. Interestingly enough, the numbering system for these calibres is normally reserved for quartz movements.
