  • awesome tune here wow cool indeed

  • @TheDeathblade98 pikmin are not scary.

  • Forest Navel: Hazy

  • Pikmin is so scary!

  • *hello again*(lol) Instruments: Flute low Vibraphone High Glockenspiel(eerie tone) Strings Low Piano Percussion: Crash Cymbal Snare drum Night time: Harp Flute Strings
  • The harp just adds to the eerie-ness, I LOVE it. <3

  • This reminds me of Clock Town Day 3 theme for some reason.

  • @ThePikminGuy1536 Well, both themes have happy/cheery normal tones with creepy-ass undertones in the background. Also, for being undertones, the creepy parts both stick out like sore thumbs.

  • @mmazingace yes they both have creepy undertones. The Final Trail uses the vibraphone and the low french horn note. While the clock town theme uses the low string s and a loud Koto.Good thing i know these songs on piano :D

  • @ThePikminGuy1536 I never would've known what instruments those were unless you said something. Thanks for teaching me something I suppose.

  • This music manages to be both cheery and unsettling at the same time.

  • The harp gives me goose bumps every time.

    So much nostalgia.

  • 1:40 :BRING UP THE MARCHING BAND!

  • I just beat Pikmin today. For some reason, the bosses seem WAY easier in the Wii version.

  • Conquer your own fear, Stand up to the great beast and slay it... or die trying in a great battle for your own life, and let all these tiny creatures die with you...

  • As much as the unlimited time in Pikmin 2 I really enjoyed all the ship parts you had to collect in Pikmin 1. I'm going to go pickup Pikmin 1 at Gamestop now. Hopefully they make Pikmin 3 for xbox 360

  • @R3ALDUBB3DD3R3K dont count on it, dude.

  • @R3ALDUBB3DD3R3K

XBOX 360 should be called XBOX 180 cause that's where smart people turn when they see one.

  • I may never be able to forgive Olimar for letting all those pikmin die just so he could have his precious safe. HOW GREEDY!

  • I find this UNBELIEVABLE creepy and unsettling. Happy music with creepy undertones just gets me everytime. 1:15 creeps the crap out of me!

  • @thechanman16 it threatened my life and said i was a failure to the pikmin if i remember correctly

  • the song sounds creepy and peacful at the same time...

  • @CaptainFuzzinson Yeah and also, it didn't exactly make perfect sense that your company is in major debt and you don't have to pay it off within a certain time. What happened to the time limit? That's what made pikmin 1 so damn challenging and fun. I'm not saying Pikmin 2 ain't fun, it sure is but still, Pikmin 1.

  • when I first landed here and heard this music I thought ".....my pikmin, you have served me well, but your probably screwed......"

  • Ah yes... When I first came here...

The music... cheery, yet weird... like something wasn't quite right... As if the multiple Pikmin death traps weren't enough...

  • Its like one of those horror movies where everything is perfect and happy, but theres something offsetting and you can't quite put your finger on it.

  • @RPGE5U5

So basically it's a walk in the park with the Slender Man standing behind you.

  • That's the point of this piece.. It's supposed to feel all calm and happy, knowing you can safely return home, and this treasure isn't even necessary... But, yet you still challenge yourself to get it, unaware of the demon that is awaiting your arrival.

  • This sounds like something my band teacher would choose as a piece to play. That would be awesome.

  • I hated this planet so fucking much.

Thank god the grubdog thing wasn't so strong in Pikmin 2. =_=

  • @Wiintendoh so you hate the earth, huh?

  • @Wiintendoh lol the pikmin planet takes place on Earth XD

  • Kind of un-nerving, it's like you KNOW it's not safe here

  • n.n

  • when i went into the final trial, it felt calm with inticipation and a bit of scary inside.

  • This is a very great piece. The intensity and lightness together make this amazing piece epic. That base piano is the best.

  • This music is so scary and happy at the same time!

  • you forgot water for the enemies

i can't tell you how many pikmin i lost due to that wreched liguid...

  • lol cf (chadfool)

  • This is SOOOO creepy

  • Are they using the same trumpet sound effect that was in the Gen. III Pokémon games? (Ruby & Sapphire & Emerald)

  • @GalekC The GBA's sound chip is very weak, it doesn't compare to the music in te GCN. It doesn't sound similar to me.

  • @Supermariofan14 No, I'm talking about the trumpet sound effect ALONE.

  • I felt so bad when I would start with 600+ pikmin at the beginning, bring 100 to fight the bublax, then make like 5 return trips to get more pikmin, cut down all of the pellt posies and monsters for more pikmin, then once I beat teh Bulblax I relized I was 4 pikmin short of carrying it.

    Gotta love Pikmin!

  • I couldn't beat this level before 30 days when I was a wee little kid.... I loved this game. I cried not getting the game done. I beat him on try 9. I never replayed until 3 years later when I wanted that 100% completion... I won on try 1.

Great game. i want the 3rd.

  • this level was genocide against pikmin.

  • This place scared the shit out of me because of the music :'(

  • I like this music...

    It is happy.... Yet CREEPY!!

Thats how you get people scared... thats the way.

  • o____o thats olimar's face when he listens to this song

  • I really liked this game and a large portion of the likeness came from the music. ever piece of music was a work of art and suited the situation perfectly. one thing i always think about when i hear the final trail music is that it sounds like a military march. I could just imagine all my pikmin walking toward that sand bowl. Savouring that feeling of anticipation and fear as they step closer and closer to their final trail, too.

  • the most peaceful setting hides the evilest monster

  • i remember getting to this part and seeing emporer bublax and later due to an accident the file got erased i tried to tell about the green bulborb as i had called it and one night i had a nightmare i was battling it then it started doing different attacks so i went in the stands then it started talking in a lifeless voice it stuck its tongue out and went into those stands around the arena and killing my pikmin then jumped up into the stands to get me then i woke up right before

  • @charnmp DAAAAAAAANNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!

  • @charnmp What did it say in that "lifeless voice"?

  • This song is actually really scary because at the very beginning it sounds very scary as if something is just looking for you and you can not turn back anywhere. And the rest sounds all happy and stuff but what is really scary is the fact that you are all happy at first until you finally find out that there is a deep secret in the area just looking for you.

  • I'm always scared to play this game because I never want to lose any Pikmin...

  • pikmin ROCKS and i mean it! pikmin is SO cool! i LOVE pikmin!

  • Something i came up with:

    Impact Site=Curiosity

    Forest of Hope=Peace

    Forest Navel= Suspense

    Distant Spring=Mystery

    Final Trial=Eerie/Unsettling

Emperor Bulblax=You are going to die/All hope has left and died off

  • @PhazonKoopa445 What about Beady Longlegs?

  • @PhazonKoopa445 Forest of Hope was anything but peaceful with Burrowing Snagrets, an armored cannon beetle, & tons of bulborbs!

  • @PhazonKoopa445 yeah, thats kind of like how i imagined it...

  • @PhazonKoopa445 I'd put the mistery in the Forest Navel, if in case that you are talking about the music

  • Comment removed

  • Bulborbs: The Hitlers of Pikmin.

Thats one motivator I won't forget considering how many I lost to this species.

  • @Shadowtony100 The bulborbs are not their own species actually, they are members of the grub dog family.

  • @penreg I am aware of that. So I actually meant to say I hate the Grub Dog species. Thank you for the correction.

  • @MrSteelmoron I was sorta hoping you didn't make a mistake and you ACTUALLY beat it in 8 days. But alas...

  • @MrSteelmoron You can't beat pikmin 1 in 8 days. The lowest is 9...

  • how did you guys do it? i tried using bombs but that took too much time, so i just zerged with red pikmin

  • The music is peaceful but it's creepy and is hiding the fact that a horrible monster lives there. :I

  • After a bit it gets less creepy, almost normal. Then creepy, then tense, then kind of peaceful and winding down. Then back to tense. And back to creepy.

  • can't wait for pikmin 3

  • Sounds like they made 2 different songs for the last level. A cheery, triumphal one and a creepy, sinister one. But they couldn't decide wicht they should take, so they put them together.

  • "Alright, this seems like it...I have a REALLY bad feeling about this...but, let's try to be optimists! Yeah! Heheh...yeah...eh...what's the worst that could happen...?"

    *red pikmin exchange glances*

  • 3 people only went for 25/30

  • I hear sinister music and Cheery uplifting music at the same time.

  • olimar: DIE, EMPEROR BULBLAX!

    bulblax: *dies*

olimar: let's see what we-A PIGGY BANK? REALLY? GER, SCHMERKEN, BI KODEN KGJMDLG

  • My high score for this game is 14 days.

  • Scary and triumphant since u'r at the end of the game.

  • This Is My Faverote Leval Of The Game

  • 00:00-1:15 ^-^ 1:16-5:01 DX

  • red pikmin:um what is he doing (yes sir)

    blue pikmin:hes not (um ok)

yellow pikmin: O-o oh geez our boss is so dumb (...ok)

  • I frikken thought his green back things was the treasure.............

  • fucking creepy psycotic satanist carnival music much?

  • This song gives me the chill . .

  • the calm before the storm

  • The emperor bulblax shrunk in the Pikmin 2

  • @EmosnakeProductions thats because its EMPRESS bulbax

  • @bevmcd no theres two types, the empress which looks like a grub, and then the emperor bulblax, XD it's like 1/4 the size of this one

  • lol aren't you also on GameFAQs? Nice vid btw. Definitely a classic song here!

  • wen i got here i was like...wtf..... and i got to the emperor and i lost all my pikmin cus i didnt expect it....... this is why u dont play light music at the last stage =.=

  • when I first saw it, I thought the Emperor Bulblax's shell Was the piece. So I surrounded it with pikmin, and lost them all almost immediately.

  • pikmin: DONT GO IN THERE!!!

Olimar: I told you, I DONT HAVE NECTER IN MY PANTS!

    pikmin: -.-

Olimar: OMG! what IS that thing......AHHHHHH!!!!

  • to me, it sounds like ... children playing beside an alligator pond.

  • first comment in a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My fave song in Pikmin 1 ^^b

  • All of my pikmin died for a piggy bank??

  • @ChadFool While Nintendo designed Pikmin as a game marketed toward children, the allegory provided at the end of the Final Trial is glaring. It is Japanese propaganda showing that American soldiers are like vegetables fighting for their masters' wealth.

  • @Samsasrenjet O_O

They're just mad we dropped an atom bomb on their heads.

  • @Samsasrenjet Wait a minute, the same would go for Pikmin 2, where it is practically declared at the beginning.

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5 Pikmin 2 takes it a step further. The master himself is acting as a servant. Therefore, the allegory presented in Pikmin 2 underscores America's helplesness to Great Britain :p

  • @Samsasrenjet Well who the heck is Louie?

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5 ...France. France helped America...

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5 Precisely :p

  • @Samsasrenjet What about how Olimar leaves Louie behind? And how Louie takes on Olimar and the President (Don't feel like spelling his actual name) by taking control of the Titan Dweevil?

Woah, I can't believe Pikmin is this deep LOL.

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5

    President=Great Britan

    Louie=France

    Titan Dweevil=Germany

I'm sure you can piece it together from there on out :D

  • @Samsasrenjet Of course, they wanted to save France from Germany.

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5 i think louie stayed behind because he was worried the president and olimar would find out he was responsible for the debt, on one of my files i took my time b4 paying off the debt and a piece of mail said: Olimar, i'm starting to doubt Louie's story, his route has always been a safe route...: and other things like that lol

  • @undergroundpikmin No. Louie WAS left behind. Couldn't you see the look of shock on his face in the credits?

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5 how could they have left him behind if he was right there though?

  • @undergroundpikmin Olimar started the ship as soon as he got in?

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5 well in pikmin 2 the game makes multitasking easiar by giving you two captins.loue is the second one

  • @chompompcharly I know that. We were talking about the secret inner meaning to Pikmin. Who Louie represents. Louie represents France as I quickly figured out.

  • @Samsasrenjet I honestly can't believe I discussed with you the deep inner meaning to a children's video game.

  • @MarioGalaxy243g5 Children's game. That's what they want us to think :p

  • @Samsasrenjet Well, yeah.

    The Pikmin conspiracies, LOL.

  • @ChadFool And then in the next game, all that work for your spaceship to be restored, an your boss goes and sells it.

  • @Shadowtony100 a real ass huh?

  • @mastapikmin yeah that was pretty assy huh?

  • @Shadowtony100 I'd say that was pretty nassty of the boss

  • @ChadFool sadly, yes

  • I believe the next Pikmin, if they decide to make it, should be something like Olimar protecting the planet from the Hocotate company trying to enslave the Pikmin.

  • the first time i played this i was like "oh shit creepy music" and then the emperor bulbax came out and i was like FUCK!

  • Pikmin in 8 days with 65 of each color (all flowers) and no deaths

  • Without the drums, piano, & horn. I'd say it sounds like a creepy posessed toddler, with blank eyes, & a bloody knife staring at you with a messed up smile. It also sounds like ur out of time, & that a creepy unsatisfying death is approaching you...

  • @TheCrimsonPower I could imagine that O.O"

  • I want to learn this on the piano. I will start on it soon.

  • Hahaha, first time i played this game i made it here with 1 day left, freaked me out so much

  • therz a hint of runescaoe in this song

  • Jeez, forgive me if I was wrong -__-

  • The first time I did this boss, I think I used no bombs.

No bombs = hardcore way to beat it ;)

  • @Metaknight133 Yeah, it wasn't until recently (like my fourth playthrough) that I mastered using the bombs. As a kid, I'd just spend four or five days gathering Pikmin, and then swarm Bulblax until he died. I'd usually lose around 800 Pikmin XD

  • @Metaknight133 That was my biggest mistake the first time. All of the Pikmin I could've saved in that horribly long battle......

  • At first it sounds intense... then sort of childish almost, but it has a touch of creepiness to it that creates a pretty nice tension.

  • What a terrifying song o.o

  • I got the Wii version and it's awesome. I can't wait 'till Nintendo re-releases Pikmin 2 on the New Play Control! Series.

  • They already did?

  • Not in North America they haven't. Greets from Canada BTW.

  • This music says: this is the last mission.

You will be back home soon...

  • @ShinyPachirisu

I though I saw a little bit of Forest Navel in it too xD It is very strange.....

  • *thought

  • Sounds like a haunted/evil carnival O__O

  • @TubbaBlubbaClubba

    M

    . .

    U

  • I don't understand how in Pikmin 2, Wistful Wild is a combimation of this place and the Impacts site...how did two faraway places COMBINE? Serious continental drift with no mountains forming?

  • ''You have entered Nightmare Road - You must conquer your fears. Don't turn back, you can do it. We depend on you. The gate awaits. Enter the gate, and fight your biggest fear. Good Luck.''

    Epic, isn't it?

  • I loved this game, except i borrowed it so the fun was over soon :-(

  • BUY THE GAME! It's our for wii now so if you don't have a gamecube you could get it on that :P But I like my gamecube classics....

  • @KrisaurusFlanger same here. but my friend has pikmin 2 so i can keep pikmin 1 lfor a long time.:D

  • Oh my gosh dude...this song you to freak me out lol....love these games...PIKMIN FTW!!!

  • This is the best music from all the game!

  • when I made it to the bulbax I freked out cuz I only had a few minutes left, but I found out every thing was the same when I came back, but that boss still took the hole day to beat! and when I saw what the ship piece was....

  • I NEVER beat that damn thing. Ever. :(

  • I finished Pikmin 1 in 12 days.

    I finished Pikmin 2 in 10 days.

    Every friggin time...

  • nice... my records are almost the same

  • Me too. O.o

  • I love this level and music

  • this game's kinda like majora's mask. time to put up with, challenging enemies, awesome places to visit, and that creepy music that always says, "TIME'S GOING TO BE UP SOON!"

  • strangely, i acually love the final trail. the level, and the boss.

    there easy, and fun :)

  • This almost gives me goosebumps because of the shaky violin noise in the background... Yet, it sounds so happy. :/

  • i should have it complete in about 28 days, i still have to clear the forest navel and distant spring, and the last distant spring part is hard because of so many enemies in the way!

  • i finish all pikmin in 14 days!!! :)

  • ill c if i can break the record

  • my record for makeing it this far was day 25 to 27,imessed around for to days, when ever i go to a mt. i hear this music

  • hello my record to complete the pikmin is in 14 days.

  • Same with me. I spent day 28 getting over to the Emperor, I spent all of day 29 fighting it, and then I got the last ship piece back to the rocket on day 30.

  • well...

if you follow the strategy of getting 1 part in a day,

then you'd be here on day 29...so yeah!

    TAH CLOCK IS TICKIN'!!

  • I got all 29 then this guy on day 25...O_O

  • same with me...

  • is not awesome

i complete all pikmin in 14

  • i beat him on day 27 but ran outta time bringing that stupid bank and i lost 40 more pikmin

  • @23catlover the japanese version of this game needs 80 pikmin carrying the safe back

  • @tbtechwiz Fixed in japanese New Play Control Pikmin; It's back to 85. :I

  • Olimar: Aw, this is peaceful. Nothing bad can happen here.

    *Emperor Bulbax Pops up*

    Olimar: WOAH HOLY SHI-

    *Olimar is Down!*

  • This music gives off the perfect feeling of knowing it's all going to be over soon and yet you know there's going to be some kind of final boss before you win...

And it sounds especially cheery because of the setting of it being naturistic...

  • to me, it sounds likes it's trying to be cheery while hiding the truth that a horrible monster is in here somewhere, so it sounds kinda sinister and cheery at the same time, to me that is.

  • @vgman94

    exactlly!!!

    thats what ive been saying!
