I was brought up in what would be considered a non-faith school, yet it was influenced heavily by Christianity. RE taught us about the different religions, but it was based mainly on facts, and heavily biased towards Christianity. I'm now a teacher in an inner London school and RE is so much more interesting. It gives students the opportunity to discuss ethics, morals and come to their own conclusions. Unlike when I was swayed towards Christianity.

Thankfully I saw the light.

meh. evolution actually does exist. it's almost a fact. a very large part of evolution includes "artifical selection." farmers do this all the time, stemming from the BC era. they take cows that produce more milk, and mate them with fertile bulls. the resulting male is fertile, or female produces ample milk. it's just some people don't realize that this is evolution staring them in the face.

If nothing else, when used positively, at the very least, religion is a good set if morals. Her findings are very significant. The eukaryote cell has two distinct sets of DNA working in a symbiotic relationship, (nuclear DNA & mitrochrondia DNA). We would not expect bacteria to evolve a completely different set of DNA. This happens when one type of prokaryote engulfs another type and it has been observed.

@la2111 When you can't even talk about the inconsistences in a theory, oh lets say evolution, and give your honest opinion, which might be against it, you can't if it is positive towards a belief in God but as long as it isn't involving God, that's OK.?
