  • beautiful tank love the rams and angelfish

  • That would be a Balloon Ram Blue or German Ram, very lovely colours....

    thank you for your interest.

  • whats the fish at 15seconds into the vid?

  • Amazing! just one question though, how did you prevent the Anglefish from eating the neons?

  • @HeyThereHowItGoing If you buy the angels when young, they will grow up with eg neons, and won't see them as food, and make sure the angels are regularly feed, frozen foods to.

  • Thanks for everyone's positive feedback, I'm no longer looking after the fluval 260 ltr tank, my Bro looks after that.

Take a look at my new set up, my fluval 200 ltr discus tank....

and pass your comments or qustions

    many thanks

    Trev

  • @Kebabpale

For the 260 ltr tank, set up came with filter heater. the rest substrate, plants, airline, water chemicals to make water safe for fish, net, fish food, water syphon ect would way for this size tank £700 - £800 would roughly say, the tank was £500 +, so the rest £300 without fish, thou the fish are the cheapest.

  • Awesome!!!! could you recomend a good filter for a 90l aquarium. my juwel is rubbish. to noisey and doesnt do the job right. cant be too expensive though. thanks. Also Im asking you as my local fish shop (pets at home) just said "I dunno. The most expensive one" so no help at all. thanks

  • @hibs02

I would say Fluval U3 filter, Fluval are in my opinion the best. With the U3 you also get a chamber in it for bio-max so as i've been told biological, is the way to go, which is what happens in the wild. I strongly recommend, for a little more money but some JBL Mirco mec like Bio-max but so far superior, like small round stones, but they biologically get rid Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, have to go to a maidenhead Aquatics, loads round england.

  • your rams are really pretty!

  • very nice...

  • mate i have a community tank but my plants are not growing is it because of less gravel or something else and the plants are growing alge on them selfs

  • @cam4er

Could well be, I feed my plants, once a month with JBL plant feed can't remember the name top of head, for a 260 ltr tank I use 20ml a month. plenty of gravel for the plants to take root, and when your light goes out, use a airline to oxgen the plants for night time, as plants produce oxygen in the day, but at night produce carbon dioxide, so give them some oxygen to breathe, if you wanna go further use a co2 system for the day time, but not essential.

  • @trevban can you buy jbl in uk

  • @cam4er I'm in uk.

Go to any maidenhead aquatic store, normally are situated on the site of the old whyvale garden centers, which are now the name of your town eg for me Worthing garden centre. Its called JBL Ferropol, don't use too much tho, go well under their recommended, amount, I would say 10% of your tank side, eg 200 ltr use 20 ml a month, or your feed any algae growth, does say ferropl doesn't contain nitrates or phosphates, less is better. How old is your lights, if a year old change.

  • @trevban yeh i chane mine every 6 months but i dont get it why do you need to chnge it

  • awesome tank, angels are mint (Y)

  • Female rams have a pinky belly

  • beautiful

  • Where does neons at 2:58?

  • @RushSamarak

Regular water changing, like 20% a week, algae scrapping once a week.

Plants are a very good natural eco, for the tank.

Let the filter do the work, build up the bacteria in the media, when clearing the filter try not to clean all the media in one go.

if you need any more help let me know.

  • how u keepin ciclids and tetras in the same tank

  • @jakeone78

It's fine as long as you get like the Angels, when their young, so they grow up together.

They would look at them as Lunch.

  • nice ass tank dude......and i want your ciclids!!

  • stunning dwarf gourami! :)

  • What is the fish at 0:20 ?

  • @jayhillen

That's a Balloon Ram, Dwarf Cichid

  • @trevban thanks man ;) im buying a fish tak so i just want to know my fish aha :)

  • Beautiful tank I can't wait to get my new tank. If I can get it looking half as nice as that I'll b happy. I like to see well looked after fish. :-)

  • I never wanted this video to end! Beautiful tank! The Rams, Angels and the Dwarf Gourami were stunning! Well done! :D

  • @brennansheppard1994 Thank you so much

  • @trevban I should be thanking you! :D For uploading this video! :D Thank you! :D

  • @brennansheppard1994

    fully agree

  • I love how Rams pick up a single piece of gravel and spit it out. So cute.

  • Aww I miss my rams. Mine lived in my tank for about a year. How big are your angelfish now and how long has it taken them to get that big? My mother decided to buy 6 angelfish for my 29 gallon and is now saying a 55 gallon tank is out of the question. I'm saying it should be in the near future. haha. In 3 months they've gotten huge already.

  • @angeloftheodd

Yeah me too.....mine rams only lived about a year too. I've had my angelfish for about 2 years now. They grow really fast. Yes I agree they will need a bigger tank. Thanks for your comment.

  • Beautiful tank! Love the rams.

  • Thank you, they are beautiful but sadly not long lived.

  • Wow, what a beautiful tank!! I know what you mean about the angelfish. I love mine so much, but they squabble for dominance so much that it kind of stresses me out.

I think there will be a culling. Some certain troublemakers will have to go back to the shop for 1/3 their value... it would be nice to have a relaxing tank to watch

  • Thanks. Yep, it's the same for me too. Mine are always fighting. My female Black Lace Angel is psychotic :)

  • i better keep away from them as this is my first tropical set up, cant believe how addictive it is and how peaceful they are to watch

  • Hi beautiful tank and fish, please can you tell me what kind of fish that is on 16 seconds to about 21 seconds it looks like its smiling, what a stunning fish

  • Thank you. It's a Blue Ram Cichlid. They are truely stunning fish but quite difficult to keep. Sadly I've lost all of mine now.

  • great set-up

can i ask what lighting your using,it shows of the colouring perfectly !!

  • Thank you. Its a combination of a blue marine light and a standard white light. When combined it creates this stunning effect.

  • good choices too none of the fish seem aggresive at all towards each other

  • Thanks. The angelfish do fight each other from time to time but apart from that it's fairly peaceful in there and very relaxing to watch.

  • the smiley one is an angel fish what is it specifically?

  • how big is ur tank and what is the name of that fish that looks like its smiling?

  • It's just over 4ft in length (Bow front) around 1 1/2 ft wide and 2ft deep. The smiley fish is a Blue Ram Cichlid. Thank you for enjoying the vid :)

  • yw =)

  • your fishtank is just beautiful!!!

  • Thank you so much

  • what is that fish that looks like its smiling 21 seconds? beautiful fish and tank

  • if u live in england and have been to big blue fish store pls tell me

  • Never heard of that one.

  • thankyou i think i am going to get a coupple of rams like yours tomoro and then some small angel fish and hopefully they wont eat any of my smaller fish

  • just woundering how long has your tank been set up for with these fish and have you had any problems with the such as the angel fish eating the little ones

  • Thank you. The tank has been running for just over a year now. I did the fishless cycle for 6 weeks before adding any fish, and then added fish a few at a time. With Angel's, we got them when they were very small. They say if you get them when they are small they will grow up with smaller fish like Tetra's and not consider them as food. Luckily we haven't lost any fish to them.

  • we love it xx

  • very pretty. how do you know the male and female from you GBR ? thanks.

  • Thanks. That's a good question. It depends on the type of fish. With Livebearers (Platies/ Mollies/ Guppies/ Swordtails) it's the anal fin, that's the fin between the belly and the tail. If it's pointed and flat against the body it's a male, if it looks like a regular fin it's female. With Tetra's the female's are larger and plumper while the males are smaller and slim. Hope that's some help to you.

  • What about you German Blue Ram?

  • With the Rams it's fairly impossible to sex them.

The 4 we have in there, we were told they were all males as they don't normally sell females. I would imagine the female Rams would be less colorful.

  • Thank you.

  • Lovely tank, perfect music :)
