In her experience people tend to be callous, rude, and petty towards one another there. Perhaps you went to Hong Kong? maybe Beijing? China is not an ideal country, people are pushed to succeed at all costs, and I have seen how it affects people. The people there are not bad, but their modern culture is damaging
