Paranormal Activity 3 in the theatre.. Ive seen all 3 but the 3rd HAD to be the best. When the chick was hanging at the top of the stairs and her dead body pounced on that guy. That made the whole movie amazing its fricken scary you all have to see it if u havent!

Yea ill def admit in each paranormal activity you already know generally wats going to happen. Such things as stuff flying off the walls and random noises but yet we all still go see the new ones including me because the anticipation throughtout the movie keeps you wanting more when at the same time you dont wanna get scared. lol. The realism of they're lives to ours before things hit the fan. When i saw the first with my ex she wouldnt let me piss with the door shut. I couldnt leave her sight

@atrumblood When I went to watch this movie. It scared the hell out of me. I had the whole house to myself that entire weekend, and I didnt stay home. I stayed at a friends because it scared me. I did notice however, all the people that were complaining about the movie as we were exiting, were jumping right along with every one else. The whole theatre did, and yet they kept saying how much it sucked. It must not have been too bad if they were jumping too.

You, Sir, are a grade A moron. I find this movie laughable and right up there WITH cheesy big films like Saw. In fact both Saw genre (torture porn) and this movies genre (loud noises to jump little kids) are IMO what destroyed the horror genre.

I despise it when people call films like Saw horror, yet I don't find this scary. Paranormal Activity has no depth, no isolation, it doesn't scare you, it makes you jumpy. that's it. Movies like The Thing are frightening. This is garbage.

Well, I haven't seen a movie that actually truly scared me after I was older then 14 or so, but I yawned my way trough Paranormal Activity. It takes more than loud noises and moving bed sheets to scare me. I can see how that would make people jump in the theater, with the sound maxed up, but at home, I find a pathetic.

The Shining is a good horror movie because it relies not on pain or gore or loud noises, but on isolation, something few modern horror films still do.

The Exorcist was scary when I first watched and it has a lot of frightening scenes but it becomes hard not to laugh for me. Megan is so over the top-evil at some times that you just have to laugh at what she makes the priest go trough.

I stand by The Evil Dead as the scariest supernatural horror movie I have seen, I think. Even with it's 80's effects, it stays great. The Evil Dead 2 (which was partly a remake) is better in many ways, but failed to frighten me as much somehow.

@SSTTEEAALLTTHH there has never been a better written horror than the exorisist...nominated for 10 academy awards! no horror has ever been so critically acclaimed...or been the most successful film ever made and from '73-'75 it was.

the exorcist did what only a few film such as jaws have done, they've created hysteria surrounding a subject, people felt safe in there beds in their room just like they did having a dip in the sea...the exorcist took our safest place and made it what it is today.

Imagine that you are stuck in a huge hotel like that, with no one around for miles. If you want gore or jumps, you shouldn't watch The Shining. Slashers like Halloween relied on jumps too, but at least they had a story and some of them have isolation as well. Jumps can be a big part of horror, but if it's solely jumps, like I feel it is with PA, it's a pathetic excuse for a movie.

As for original, I found nothing original about the found-footage concept or a haunting.

@atrumblood Yes, but its not scary for many reasons. Things that happen in this movie are done in a VERY predictable way. I actually laughed a lot in all three movies. ALOT of flaws in ALL the P.A. movies that if it were to happen in real life, it would happen a lot differently. Watch grave encounters, now THAT was scary. P.A was 15k garbage. Also, realism is that if a ghost were to haunt you, give it what it wants,drop the cameras and not bring it everywhere with you. ghosts dont exist btw.
