  • Master Piece! by King Crimson.

  • what is the meaning of this song? its so modern for the time that it was written.

  • I wish I could listen to this with headphones right now. Stupid aching ears.

  • Per nn parlare dell'assolo di batteria @4:50 !!!

  • Paurosi! Gli stacchi di batteria @4:10 sono fantastici!

  • i hawe played this song on guitar hero like 100 times and i love the song....its best

  • @1234567sel1 WOw they have this?

  • I really like the tags in this video. It definitely made me laugh. :)

  • @TheDancingSaxophone

    I aim to please.

  • 'Innocents raped with napalm fire' Only they, Could say that, And make it cool.

  • this song and entire album are like the missing link between psychedelic and progressive rock/metal...what a breakthrough king crimson was.

  • the pic for this song kinda scares me lol

  • @MrBlueclank That pic is the album cover for "In the Court of the Crimson King" which is the album this song is on. :)

  • Progressive rock/metal > All

  • hey weiii como se me antoja un porro de marihuanita oh si oh si y xk solo uno?? mejor 2 :) y un par de gotas de lsd owww

  • My message to King Crimson:

    Thankyou with the deepest sincerity,

not only for creating one of the greatest albums of all time,

but for kick-starting the golden era of music:

    Progressive Rock

  • i see 0 squares

  • Late 60's, early 70's... great acid and King Crimson.

  • I actually cannot believe that KW has over 18 million views and this only a few thousands.

Shame ! This is true music :D

  • @Blokor Probably because they are two different genres of music.

  • so Kanye had almost 7 minutes to sample, and he only used a drum fill and a couple of lines? Power could've been so much better

  • @TheWhitestPersonEver Yeah he could've kept all the cool background voices and not sung at all.

  • Forever.

  • I'm not a big music nerd or anything, but when I heard this song for the first time all I could say was: these guys were way ahead of their time. We are but FOOLS in the Court of the Crimson King!

  • good pic

  • This song was at the beginning of a skate video by Foundation called "That's Life"

I've loved this song ever since then..

  • This one seems to sound best of the YouTube posts.

  • like a proto-punk Pink Floyd

  • Why did kanye west use this song, this is classic!Gold!! and well his music sucks!(in my own opinion)

  • @HeddyValle Be open to other genres of music. Don't judge music you don't understand. His music doesn't suck

It's two different genres of music...unless your one of those people that stick to one genre only and just hate music that is "different" than your one genre..

  • @gman4eva9 His music does suck and I love several diverse genres. He is a talentless hack who resorts to just using other peoples music. Just because someone does not like him does not mean they don't understand him, nor does it mean that they only like one genre

  • @ProcolHarum1967 Its not even about that... u CAN not lik kanye and his music, thats fine with me u have th right 2, but at the end of th day certain ppl, lik me, wood never know about king crimson if kanye hadnt sampled it. i i think dat goes 4 a lot of ppl. trust me theres a good amount of ppl who wouldn think twice 2 click on this if kanye hadnt introduced it to some of us... and its definately not a last "resort". how many views does this have an how many views does kanye have on ONE song:)

  • @cp3onmtv963 I get your point that more people have discovered this song but my point is that he does not have the talent to actually write his own music and always resorts to sampling. Sampling is fine on occasion but not if you do it all the time especially if; like Kanye, you think of yourself as the greatest "artist" of all time. I have no real problem with sampling I was just giving my opinion to someone else who seemed to think that if you don't like him, you just don't understand him.

  • @ProcolHarum1967 ah ok i get your point. lik i said u have some really valid points we just differ an thats ok... thanks for not being rude and takin my comment th wrong way:)

  • @cp3onmtv963

Go suck the talentless prick off then. While you are at it you may want to learn to get your point across in the language otherwise known as English. What the hell does DAT mean? Are you a ghetto dweller or just some wannabe wigger from the burbs? Go fuck yourself you dried up turd.

  • @ProcolHarum1967

    Amen.

  • @ProcolHarum1967 I understand that you dont like him as a person but to say hes talentless is just plain stupid

  • fuck! why did kanye west use this song,This song is GOLD! And Kanye well....an ass

  • @HeddyValle and a gay fish

  • @TheDaddyRob true that man.

  • I love this

  • I was listening to tis before most of you where born

  • I heard this on kanye west power

  • I wonder what it would be like if King Crimson and The Mars Volta played a show together....

  • you kidding me, Rush????No,nothing like or to compare to Rush's step on my balls and I'll sing high notes singer.

  • kinda like rush

  • @gustavpeders No, Rush is like this.

  • @n00b4o The only way Rush and KC are like each other is that they are both talented progressive rock bands. Otherwise, you're both wrong. The sounds aren't even remotely similar.

  • @nyxiathewarrior2

Soundwise they may not be that similar, I agree. However, the guitar/drums/bass runs near the end of the 4th minute are similar to both La Villa Strangiato and By-Tor and the Snow Dog. Rush was obviously paying homage to KC. No one really sounds like KC and no one sounds like Rush either. To try and do so would amount to an extreme failure.

  • @AngusShanks

I will assume the part La Villa Strangiato you're referring to is part V starting around 5:49

I see similarity, but the two of clearly very different in arrangement, but they both sound very big band inspired.

And considering this album came out in England about the same time Rush originally formed in Canada, I'd find it very very hard to believe Rush was paying homage to a band they probably had no opportunity to take inspiration from. Sorry. It just doesn't compute to me.

  • @nyxiathewarrior2

Except for the fact that they have admitted to have been influenced by KC. Hard to argue with that when it comes from the horse's mouth.

  • @AngusShanks I dunno, Dream Theater sounds like a more metal version of Rush, IMO. No one I can think of sounds like King Crimson tho.

  • @Corvyn Dream Theater are good but aren't in either Rush' nor KC's league.

  • @n00b4o you really think rush resembles to this?! the drum is better, and the signer has a much higher voice in rush!

  • dad used think i was on drugs when i played this aged about 16!

  • @zZAlamahmedZz i was on drugs when i listened to this aged about 16

  • @zZAlamahmedZz my dad used to think i was a total noob when I played this just for Guitar Hero 5

  • @zZAlamahmedZz Now I try to play this !

  • @zZAlamahmedZz Funny, how you must be 18 by now, smoking reefer (in the confines of your own bachelor apartment) minding your own business.

  • @zZAlamahmedZz you weren't?

  • like it
