Yeah I was there 2 years ago and I believe the elevators expired the day we were leaving. I don't know if they're different ones from the ones that are there now, but they certainly have to update them. Still love the hotel, though.

well the have needed to be modernized since 2000 and they were not updated last year

It might be lost, I am not sure, I will look for it. They are OTIS Traction Elevators with the Black Halo Buttons. 1 bank serves L, 2-11, and the other bank serves L, 2, 11-22. They often stall between floors, and they brake once a day during the summer. They are from 1975, and are in bad need of an Overhaul, as are many buildings in Ocean City. For Example, My Grandma has a Condo a few blocks down from the carousel, it's on the 20th floor of a 21 floor building, OTIS from 1977, and they're fine

I've never seen that Otis model have an indicator on the outside, or have a glass shaft.

Only 75 FPM? I thought it looked faster.

Also, what's DTR?
