  • When i was engaged, this part used to make me smile. Now that she leaved me, it makes me cry...

  • this is almost enough to break your heart, bless him </3

  • elenore is a bitch

  • I discovered another great song and star from the credits of The Boat That Rocked. As the credits rolled they played Duffy's "Syrup and Honey". I first thought it was a new song by Lulu.

  • now over the past few years there has been some good films out there but i think 'the boat that rocked' is one of my personal favorites. it has every a good film needs, its a feel good film and you cant but help feel close to the characters.

  • epic

  • LOLOLOLOLOL Oh Sexy Simon<3

  • story of my life.

  • this scene isn't in the american version. well gutted seen as i now live in Canada

  • This scene describes the passion a song can bring out of a person, all in less than two minutes.

  • Love Harold's expression too.

  • oww pobre simon :<, pero aun así aunque me da tristeza...tambien me da mucha risa esta escena xD

  • A great film, very funny and the soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard! But this song... I just can't shake it off!!

  • you made me get on my lap top and find this song just so i can show it to my boyfriend .................... love it and the seen was grait

  • One of, if not THE, best scenes in any movie ever. Truly beautiful.

  • such a shame they cut it from the North American release, but they do have it in the deleted footage. and speaking on behalf of Chris O'Dowd's alter-ego Simon, I would have scratched his ex-bride's eyes out for breaking his heart. also all those who have fawned over him in Bridesmaids and haven't seen this movie, I urge you to do so. he's so marvelous and just as cute. wowzer.

  • one of many good scenes in the movie

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....

  • favourite part of the movie.

    chris o'dowd is flawless.

  • i like this song....

  • Can anyone recognize which version of the song he's playing?

  • @jezebel324 Lorraine Ellison sings this version.

  • @redphilip Thank you!

  • I think this scene should have been kept in the movie. I recently saw Chris O'Dowd (Simon) in the movie Bridesmaids. He was really funny. He is just so adorable in everything he does =)

  • How Powerful!!

  • ahh it was longer

  • split of 17 hours marriage, wht a bloody hell xcuse , hahahah. Even Simon looks so funy but still, I can feel the pain, nice act. I watch this scene over n over, I just cant get enough.

  • Fabulous acting by Chris O'Dowd; he makes this moment funny and sweet and absolutely heart-breaking.

  • why the hell did they cut this scene

  • I must get the UK "The Boat That Rocked" version of this movie. This scene and the trip to Abbey Road scene are not in the US "Pirate Radio" version that I just watched on HBO. I can't for the life of me understand why they'd cut out such great scenes.

Love this song by Lorraine Ellison, by the way. I owe this movie a lot just for introducing me to that record.

  • Who is the artist of this song?

  • Comment removed

  • @mesudalapolla14 i think Lorraine Ellison

  • This scene is classic and they cut it from the US release!! Idiots!!!

  • @valzer84 They cut it?!!? why!? wtf.

  • One of the best scenes i've seen. Love it!! ; )

  • i thought it was called The Boat That Rocked... O_o

  • @shadowcontroll

Yup, but they changed the name to 'Pirate Radio' for the American release..

  • Oh wow, I loved this part so much! I just want to give him a hug.

He was so great in the IT Crowed.

  • I just wanna Cry! LoL!
