No Buddha is considered a god but they are teachers. To teach people who believe in the Buddhism to be a better person for an example and to love everyone with kindness and compassion. I am Buddhist and i am not saying my religion is better or your religion is worst. Just be happy about what Religion you believe in. what the American pride guy said "All religions that does not obey the Bible are bad" That is your opinion but not everybody believes that.

@Sbarua26 Your Buddha is not a god, never was, never will be. Even the Buddhists will say that. The Buddha is supposed to be an enlightened person only. The Buddha has no power over death, he himself died thousands of years ago and never rose again.

@Sbarua26 There is only one true God out there. Unlike your shinto gods, he is eternal, almighty and he is the ruler of everything. Your shinto gods are just a bunch of idols, and they are supposed to fight against each other. However they can't because they don't exist.

And yes science does have an explanation for how everything started. christians do not believe it because it does not agree with their views. You make the statement about graven images etc, but I always see elaborate churches with large crosses, images and statues of mary and jesus as well as angels etc. Are these not... "any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath", just curious what allows these types of things through, they are not god.
Actually Buddha Teaching is a guid to all peoples from our planet how to live peacefully in present life and how to liberate from suffering and death !!
