Kidd is by far BY FAR one of the smartest point guards. No, thats underrating him, one of the smartest players to play in the NBA. He looks at a shot and can tell where the rebound will land, he just KNOWS where his team is, he feels every player and knows where they typicaly are. He runs around untill somehow SOMEONE for no aparent reason doesent look at someone, and the second someone even thinks about it, the balls in the basket.
He's Magic Johnson-esque. I mean like the triple-doubles, unbelievable passing abilty, 360 degree courtvision, decision making.. etc.. It's just sad J-kidd never won a title. Had a chance in 2002 and 03. If only Kidd won a title he won't be sooo underrated. I bet Kidd can play till he's 40 with that B-Ball IQ he's got.

Jason Kidd is still one of the best I've ever seen to run the point, one of the hardest working people in professional sports, asides from his marital infidelities, J Kidd did it the right way. In his prime you could just chalk up close to a triple double every night.

Ive seen basketball probably more than you have lived...and all i see is Steve NAsh being a offensive player no defense such as Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, or Chris Paul. I think you should go watch the Phoneix Suns play what ever team then reply back if he gets more than 5 rebounds or 5 steals.
nash only gets more assists because the suns are a better team. I bet if the nets were nearly as good as them, he'd rack up at least 15 assists a game easy. Plus you never see nash get 10+ rebounds a game.
The Suns are a better team because they have Nash. Suns was a non playoff team before Nash joined the Suns. And Nash still averaged 10.5 assists in the 05-06 season when Amare Stoudemire was out the whole season.

Yeah, and the 10.5 is equivalent to what Kidd puts up. Nash has so much better of a supporting cast, but Kidd makes players around him better. You think the Suns are bad without Nash, try the Nets without Kidd. Kidd is also a much better rebounder and can put up points when he needs to.

Nash is a typical PG that gets pts / assists a game. But Kidd is 3rd on the top triple doubles list, and has more triple doubles than some whole franchises. You guys are dumb. I would go with Kidd cause he nearly gets a triple double a game and as good defensive stops...unlike Nash who I saw agaist the Dallas game simple let Devin Harris free to drive it...Jason Kidd makes a bigger impact in the game

Ive seen basketball probably more than you have lived...and all i see is Steve NAsh being a offensive player no defense such as Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, or Chris Paul. I think you should go watch the Phoneix Suns play what ever team then reply back if he gets more than 5 rebounds or 5 steals.

nash only gets more assists because the suns are a better team. I bet if the nets were nearly as good as them, he'd rack up at least 15 assists a game easy. Plus you never see nash get 10+ rebounds a game.

The Suns are a better team because they have Nash. Suns was a non playoff team before Nash joined the Suns. And Nash still averaged 10.5 assists in the 05-06 season when Amare Stoudemire was out the whole season.
Yeah Kidd is a better rebounder than Nash but Nash is certainly a far superior shooter.

Yeah, and the 10.5 is equivalent to what Kidd puts up. Nash has so much better of a supporting cast, but Kidd makes players around him better. Sean Williams, Boone, Nachbar, Wright, RJ, and Carter all benefit from Jason Kidd's play. You should see the Nets when Kidd doesn't play, they are terrible. You think the Suns are bad without Nash, try the Nets without Kidd. Kidd is also a much better rebounder and can put up points when he needs to.

kidd took the nets to the finals twice when he got to new jersey..
the argument is pretty simple.. they're both great PG but they have differences.. they are both great in passing the ball around, but nash can score better then kidd.. but kidd can rebound and defend better than nash..

The suns were just like an all star team thats why nash assist per game was monster. he is surrounded with great finishers and shooters. who's been the good shooter for the nets? Only nachbar. who's been the finisher for the nets? VC and RJ were great but not always consistent, and just waiting for kidd's good pass.
Nash is way too overrated i agree.

its not even close. kidd is the premier point in the league. nash can't guard his shadow, he's surrounded by shooters, he plays with a dominant big man, and his team runs. and still with all this he can't even make the finals. now what's the word I'm looking for... oh yeah, OVERRATED.

cant agree more.. Kidds been the leadin rebounder on the nets for the past 4 years ( sad) . Get him a big man for once in his career and he'll get u a championship. last time he had one in Kmart he took a horrible nets team to the finals twice

Uh i know the nets arent having a good year but have we forgotten about vince carter and jason richardson?? So why are u sayng put kidd with a good team when hes playing with 2 allstars. Althought I will add I think Vince Carters career has gone nothing but downhill ever since he left the raptors.

The difference between Nash and Kidd is Jason Kidd was good his entire career and is getting worse as a player as he gets older where as Nash wasnt a very good player for most of his career and is becoming a better player as he gets older.

Of course the Suns are better than the Nets, but it's not the team that makes the player.
I agree when you say that Nash and Paul have a better shot than him. But Kidd, like C.P and Nash as well, can make great clutch shots.
