well..america actually doesn't have much debt ..but taxing the rich is suicidal just look at detroit that is exactly what they did

@TheJasonDR There are soooo many things that Detroit did that made things end the way they did (one of those main issues was their politicans and not as such taxing the rich). As said on the clip - it doesnt´ help to JUST tax the rich, but you cant say its suicidal to taxing the rich - that sounds like people who are rich should live off the backs of the "workers" and don´t do theirs.

claronium780, did you even watch the video, as Issa said if you taxed the rich 100% you still would not have zero deficit. The only way to stop the deficit spending is to cut spending.

the thing is - the MOST important thing to pay down the national debt, etc. IS to tax the rich more, NO MATTER how many IMPORTANT programs that are NECESSARY that the Republicans DO cut, if they miss the first step nothing else matters that much !
