I paid $175 for my Norenco brand new at a Gun Show about 11 years ago.I wouldn't pay more than $250 for one even now. You can get the tapco stock and clip for $150 but the clip jams easily. Putting a scope on an SKS is silly, especially w/o a shell deflector. You would really pay $700 for that gun? It's a cheap, gun and was never meant to be accurate. I've seen modded ones like that in gun shops that sat on the shelf gathering dust at $500. You can get an AK for that, no need to mod.
Dude SKS's are so much fun! Hows that scope mount holding up for ya? I tried a mount on the receiver similar to yours and it just never really worked out for me...either jammed up the bolt or came loose even after using locktite on the support screws. I now use a red-dot on the gas tube rail and it works for me :)

I think the SK is a better rifle than the AK or the M4.The SK is built better than the AK which feels cheaply made.M4z exhausts the gas @ the bolt causin alot of spray of unspent powder on your face.There is a lot of concussion in your face on the M4.The SK vents its gas up near the forearm cover, further away from your face. Making it a more pleasurable rifle to shoot.The M4 is more accurate at distance but the 7.62 round is more destructive@closed range giving the bad guy less places to hide.
@MrSimonGirty depends which AK47 we are talking about. Say for example Yugo M70 (ak47 variant) is the best ak ever made. its got excellent accuracy and its built like a tank. So chose your words. The grenade launcher unscrews, and then you can put on a muzzle break reducing recoil, increasing accuracy and it also counts as a compliance part towards the 922r compliance laws.
The sks is originally a soviet born rifle designed by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. It was however quickly replaced with the selective fire full auto AK-47. There were many other variants of the sks made later on such as the Chinese, Yugoslavian, Romanian, Albanian, East German, North Vietnamese and North Korean versions all with slight differences in design but built around the same original design and core mechanisms. Your best bet for finding sks's are at gun shows for around $250-$300.
That isn't a muzzle break, it's the grenade launcher, which means this rifle started out life as a Czech SKS. They are harder to find now than the Russian rifles. The SKS isn't a Chinese gun; it was the Russian assault rifle from 1945 until it was replaced two years later by the AK.

The M16A4 is not standard issue for all Army. The A4 is in use only with small groups. In the Marines, the A4 is standard issue. The A2 is currently standard issue for the Army, with M4s being used by some. I don't think the A3 is used outside of special forces.

You can get an unissued Yugo SKS for about $400 at the time of this posting.
The black stock is a Tapco stock, they range between $50 and $80 depending on whether you get the bayonet cut or not.

The grenade launcher unscrews, and then you can put on a muzzle break reducing recoil, increasing accuracy and it also counts as a compliance part towards the 922r compliance laws.

The sks is originally a soviet born rifle designed by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. It was however quickly replaced with the selective fire full auto AK-47. There were many other variants of the sks made later on such as the Chinese, Yugoslavian, Romanian, Albanian, East German, North Vietnamese and North Korean versions all with slight differences in design but built around the same original design and core mechanisms. Your best bet for finding sks's are at gun shows for around $250-$300.

That isn't a muzzle break, it's the grenade launcher, which means this rifle started out life as a Czech SKS. They are harder to find now than the Russian rifles. The SKS isn't a Chinese gun; it was the Russian assault rifle from 1945 until it was replaced two years later by the AK.

Idiot when you are in a war situation FOR WHICH THESE WERE MADE you can take entire squad with a well placed granade between their balls. Furthermore you can take out vehicles, bunkers, snipers, or even serve as a light artillery barrage in time of need. SO THINK before you make an idiotic statement.

@Alexn1067 Again fuckface this entire gun in 2011 is obsolete it was made in 1950's for warfare in 1950's dickface. Back in 1950's it was an excellent weapon and it came with a granade launcher which is RELEVANT for the time period this weapon was made for. Second you wouldn't be using it if it werent surplus meaning the gun is obsolete and armories are getting rid of it by selling it to civilians. Yes in civillian use it obsolete because half of you morons would blow up.

The M16A4 is not standard issue for all Army. The A4 is in use only with small groups. In the Marines, the A4 is standard issue. The A2 is currently standard issue for the Army, with M4s being used by some. I don't think the A3 is used outside of special forces.

no only the 10 round it came with but i did see a 20 round fixed just like a 10 round at a gun show once 3 years ago but i bough a 30 round pre ban us made mag with no nose and a tab that goes in the gun under the stock so the mag looks like an ak mag and it still dont work very good but now everyone ask me where i got it
