Im british so i dont know much about amtrak csx emd cs and all that stuff here we have deltics like the 55 so can someone reply, why is that train rare?
@forzafreak94 - the engines and cars are old, outdated, and no longer in regular use. these on this train have been refurbished to excellent condition and now are used for the executives/high management and special occasions.
Great vid! BTW is there any way to know if this train was coming? I couldve gone out there if I knew it was running today but I havent been able to find a forum to keep track of its moves on.

@GulfWindProductions - usually i just happen to be lucky (or not!), but this particular time, someone phoned me that it was coming out of baltimore. and i live real close!
@BaltimoreAndOhioRR Very cool! By the way do you get out a lot in the area? I'm suprised I haven't run into you. Maybe we could meet up some time if you'd like, its always nice to meet railfans from your local area.
@GulfWindProductions -you may have already run into me, or at least probably saw me. actually, i like to go to some places a little farther out, and use places such as st. denis as a quick stop before home. other times, i may have some time, so i run down to st. denis real quick to try to catch a train. generally, i dont 'hang out' around there. but it's less than 10 min away, so i just swing by here & there

Oh ok because in britain we have deltics, urm lots of trains with complicated names, i think britain is known bedt for steam trains though
