I'm thinking dale may not have been at fault for his own death after all. It has been brought to my attention that he was already injured & was hurting, causing him to crash into the silver car. So he was weeping tears unable to see clearly - o.k. that would make anyone crash into the car next to him, well maybe not everyone, most everyone, well most woman & children, plus afew boys, now I see, dale was like a girl driver with a boo boo sobbing then this got the best of him & boom he crashed.

Cars lose velocity, speed, and momentum when flipping/twisting. This was a straight into the concrete wall at 200 mph. Basically your head keeps going and your body stays strapped in. That is why Hans device is now worn to keep body and head together.

Much respect to Sr., but I've seen Nascar crashes back then where guys have flipped like 8 to 12 times, car was just demolished, and they walked away with minor injuries, looking at this crash, its really hard to believe he died from that. His car didn't even flip... R.I.P. tho..I wasnt driving so I wouldnt know but just looking at it from the outside, visually, and logically, its hard to believe that thats what took him out compared to other hella crazy crashes I've seen.

His seat belts broke and his body hit the dash. When he rebounded off the dash his head hit the roll cage above the drivers seat. His helmet was broken in the back. Dale wanted his seat belts mounted his way and Simpson safety equipment told him many times they were mounted wrong!

It was not Sterling's fault. If you watch the videos of the final few laps you can see Dale Sr. was all over the track blocking the traffic. At about 0:20 you can see him lean left and then Sterling's right front was there. Noone's fault. That's why it's an accident.
