A little more seaching revailed there's a 4th option: Max Force which is paper tag. That blaster type makes choosing little difficult now. However, due to both X & Max ammo req of water to prep & design it is certienly possible to pit those 2 in a battle as opposed to either 1 of those 2 vs NERF. I think that combo would be more fun. Both blasters have their pros & cons.

Thinking of taking the video game outdoors, when I went to Toys are Us, I noticed a had 3 choices: Lightstrike (lazer tag), NERF (dart tag) & this, water tag. X got the most of my attention: the idea of being paintball but w/ water for kids. Am considering it. Gun & ammo construccion appeards to be OK, altrought am hearing mix remarks about range. For those who have Xploderz, whats the dealio? & why should & go for this insted of Lazer or Dart tag?

I got the gun and I'm impressed it shoots like 80 ft because my friend Tyler was walking down the street and I shot him through my window ( like 100 ft) and hit his shoulder. And ammo only needs 2hr i put them then shot some it's good gun only 24$

Interesting design, but what happens when you lose all your ammo? You can't pick it back up like normal NERF rounds.

@ZeonPeon it comes with a TON. and the ammo actually disintegrates. Pretty much explodes when it hits something - then just decomposes. You can buy additional ammo for very cheap. $5 for 500 rounds.

it sucks. it barely shoots 15 feet. some of them just fall right out the end of the barrel. others explode right as they leave the barrel. and it takes 4 hrs for the balls to completly reacted with the water. i would not waste your money on it.

the long one is great i payed 45 dollars dor one and its so worth it, but just one thing, it would be cool if you could pump an air badder or something so u coyld use a teigger kind of like nerf, just make the bladder bigger so you can get 10 really good shots out of it before pumping ot again. just an idea thanks

this is to complicated the creater of this product needs to go back to the drawing board and re creat this product at 39.99$ i would expect it to have rapid fire and better ammunition atleast ammunition that dosent take 3 hours befour u can use it try using thermoplastic elastomer for the ammunition no water no mess no wating and have it use compressed air just like airsoft's do and at that price with the upgrades i would by 5 of them.
