We run a charity at HumanitarianGuyana dott com and if you are interested in just Pre 1982 95 percent Copper Pennies then go to our website under specific ways to help and order. They are sent in a USPS Flat Rate Box 6 mil plastic or canvas bank bag insured with signature confirmation.
Really put this into mind, people. Copper is becoming more like gold and silver as a 'safe haven' against both inflation and the doomed Dollar. I would teach your kids and young collectors about the potential of copper cents and what will they'll when copper continues to rise. Think about it, should the Dollar collapse and you have a huge stash of pre-1982 cents, they'll ALWAYS have value because of the copper content, just like the silver and gold coins. I have over $600 face value of pre-82s.
Short-term I'd bet on copper falling now that the DOW has broken down below 12,000 today. On a longer time frame it's likely worth holding since the dollar has recently fallen below what was it's long-term support level so inflation will continue.
Treasury bills are a disaster now that they have to "print" money to buy their own debt (WTF?). I believe 79% of US Tbills are now owned by the US. The interest payments are too low to take the risk. Pimco sold all of their Tbills and China is too.
@CrazyChitTV You are right that any fall in commodities will be made up for with inflation. When currencies stop being a measure of value, other wealth comparisons such as the copper to gold ratio become useful. Until we transcend metals, their value will slowly increase as sources shrink and demand at least stays constant.
