hey david, my brother is in the recording business, so I know a lot about copyright information. Ok, (most) christmas songs due not require any approval from the composer. Thats why so many artists do christmas albums. It doesn't cost anything to cover those songs. If you google THE PODSAFE MUSIC NETWORK, it has a list of songs that you can play on your podcast/show. Hope this helps
