omg this brings memorise back I love korea I stay one night for transit over a night and on my return from Turkey as well. I love it cant wait till 6months time. Korea is the best. But I felt so strange because I was the only non Asian at the train lol

Here's how Seoul could attract tourists:

1. clean up the trash on the streets

2. create parks through urban planning

3. remove neon signs and other eye sores

4. close Seoul's open sewers to prevent unpleasant odors

5. create stricter zoning laws to avoid more cookie-cutter apartment complexes. Keep residential, business areas separate.

The problem with #5 is that with Seoul's densitiy, it would be nearly impossible and the commute time will soar like crazy...

If Seoul had a larger area and lower density, then it would be possible to have your #5 solution in effect.

I don't even wanna imagine what the traffic would be like if Seoul had separate commercial and residential areas.

I think Seoul can attract more tourists by developing cultural attractions (such as the one they're doing right now within the "downtown" area)

In addition, Seoul is already very clean for its size. I agree that they should remove all those neon lights and make more appealing signs.

I love how Seoul is recently developing tourist attractions such as the floating cafe on the Han River.

They could really add more night lighting and build more towers. That would make me fall MORE in love with Seoul. I already love how the city is becoming more attractive, but it can still improve a lot :)
