So , it is all so hard. There is still resistance to womens soccer. I dont know if its due to machismo or the fact it hasnt gotten to the same level as mens soccer.
When you were in Brazil how was the soccer situation for you?
(Marta) I practiced a little.. two times a week. The team I was on was in a league but the (season) was short. We were paid a little. There wasnt activity for the whole year. The support is very limited, for womens soccer. Soccer in Brazil only exists because there are world championships. The team needs a team. If it werent for that, it wouldnt exist.
So today,the little that I have built up, try to pass on to them. Try to help; find the resources not just for my club, my heart CSA, but soccer in general in Dois Riachos.
I always get emotional. Whenever I come here I remember how hard it was. I get emotional.
For me, being a woman, this, here its hard ... if I excel in Brazil. So theres no way not to get emotional right now.
