  • I'm gonna like this video favorite it too Lol

  • Holy Shit he created the m1911 also? Fuck that fool is my hero :O

  • Sad really, the good guys (the U.S. Army) says no to a weapon, the bad guys (gangsters and robbers) get it and shoot up the country. There is a lesson here somewhere...

  • wow, had I lived 80 years ago, I could have bought a real thompson instead of an airsoft one:(

  • good vid.

  • Tommy made the 20s roar,

    Kalashnikov made the 20th roar.

  • A tommy gun

  • $175 for a thommy gun? LMFAO these days you can get a airsoft tommy gun for the same price!

  • @lavajoe889 no, the currency was obviously different. It would be equivalent to 800 dollars today maybe. Gas used to be like 19 cents a gallon, today its 3.00 + , get the deal?

  • @lavajoe889 hahahahha i know lol such bullshit

  • 4:04pm Friday (CST) - Time in Miss

    DODBROWNINGSG

  • great info

  • They didnt say anything about John Browning's .50 cal Ma Deuce which i consider one of the most famous and most successful machine gun of the 20th (and 21st) century…

  • GOOD

  • submachineguns were so looked down upon back then

  • @shinymarshtop2 not to people like al capone tho...

  • i love the BAR ( browning automatic rifle) its amazing its better then thompson or other WW2 weapons

  • It's still legal to have full autos, you just have to jump through the hoops (registering, $200 tax) It's a royal pain in the ass, especially when it costs over 15,000 for most FA weapons.

F/A is pretty much useless anyway, especially with a .45 which is a hell of a round. Makes the gun inaccurate w/rapid fire.

  • war is old men talking and young men dying...and in war truth is the first casualty!

  • the war was over by the time the americans got there

  • I still can't figure why did they make the Browning fire from open bolt. It could have been a superb automatic rifle, decades before M1 Garand and the like, instead of just a light machine gun with a ridiculously short ammo supply.

  • 08:40 - the origin of the NFA 1934 noted - known today as Title II Weapons...

  • lol gotta love the guy in the background at 51 secs doing the 100 yard dash

  • Dang, it was THAT easy to get a sub-machine gun in those days? That sounds like heaven! Do you think that day will ever come back?

  • @CrystalHunter1989

Not unless the 1936 Machine Gun Ban is repealed. We can pretty much thank Dillinger, Barrow, and Kelly for that particular piece of legislation.

  • Well, you never know! The way things are going now, we might get people in office who will repeal a LOT of things!

  • Yeah, funny that. The BAR and the Thompson comes along and anyone can get them, so a lot of criminals use them.

These days it´s realy hard to get anything like that for a normal person, but the criminals still get their hands on automatic weapons even though it is illegal, go figure.

  • @CrystalHunter1989 don't thing so :(

  • sadly no =(

  • @CrystalHunter1989 i wish

  • @CrystalHunter1989 Count on it, pal. Like a lot of old farts, I thought the best days were behind us. But I was wrong, and I'm glad I lived long enough to see us go from the best days down to the worst and then finally start turning things around. They called us the greatest generation. Well, we did all right, I guess, but you guys were the ones who stepped up to the plate and kicked the fuckers out, in November. Thank you. I was pretty scared for a while, Now, I'm not.

    Norm Sr.

  • @theshadow1932 Thank you for your kind words, sir.

  • @CrystalHunter1989 yea in 2012 xD

  • @juniorrios1997

    Lmao!

  • browning was an amazing genious

  • if you love Tommy's you need to check out Public Enemies, it's practically a supporting actor

  • baby face nelson baby

  • Thomson = millinery

    TommyGun = Mafia

     ^^

  • WAS, it was for the time it came out. If the Germans had it at the beginning of the war, it would have been harder to beat them

  • dont forget about the STG44 that gun is deadly.

  • ....

  • seriously? I had no idea guns were deadly. lol

  • ppsh fired a pretty snaughty round, yur talking about an 85gr 30 cal. bullet with a vel. of 1600-1800 fps

  • the tommy was not the first subgun it was a italian one. well anyway i have been in the internet lately and alot of peaple are saying the tompson was the best SMG of WW2. well wrong i know many peaple who used the (usa, british, israily soldiers) who siad they hated the thing. they gun out of ammo in less than 5 sec in battle. and they only have about 6 mags a day. some would rather pick up a germans rifle

  • Oh yeah? Which SMG are you saying is the best of WWII?

  • ppsh all you need is 3 drums mag for a hole battle

  • Exactly, I hoped you would say that. Though there are many reasons why I think the PPsh-41 is the best SMG of the war. It was reliable, cheap, had a high magazine capacity, could take abuse, and was basically "soldier proof" where you could do little or no wrong with it. Then again, it fired a pretty weak round.

  • yea but you are going to emty 7 rounds in a guy or more

  • Not exactly, the PPsh-41 has such a high rate of fire (900 rounds per minute) that you have to fire in bursts in order to be anywhere accurate.

  • Wich will run out of ammo ten times faster. And you'll still won't hit anything

  • too bad it was a russian smg so we were unable to use it

  • to bad they would of been useful for the Paras

  • ?!?!?! it would of been to heavy for paras thats why they used lightter guns like the tompson, garand and carbine

  • that's cause the germans had some pretty friggen beastly guns...what about the mp40, the german smg

  • to accurate and when it shoots the mag moves so you have to hold it tight so it wont jam. mp-40 was exramly expensive it cost 8 mauser rifles.

  • he coined the term but the tommy wasnt the first subgun

  • Post the other clips of this. Thanks
