  • interesting video and very informative

  • interesting video and very informative

  • really informative and interesting

  • very interesting thanks

  • i enjoyed this vid

  • But...

is it a good idea to microwave this? Let's find out...

  • this is cool and all but im trying to build one by clustering old pc's..

  • Will it blend? THAT'S THE QUESTION!

  • How fast is minecraft on it??

  • No the real question is that can it run battle feild 3 ??

  • Dear Santa,......

  • But will it run blender?

  • I want one :(( or else I could build one ;)

  • i think this thing is not for gaming...

  • I don't care about crysis, can it run minecraft?

  • guys, it's super computer, it's not built for gaming, it's built for processing data.

higher the flops, higher the capabilities to process data every seconds. thats why super computer has multi processor in it, and thats why it's expensive more cost at motherboard and processor.

if you want to play Crysis16xAA,16xAF,Ultra @60+fps.

    i7x(OC + HT enabled), 4x HD6990 (OC), 32 GB RAM, Hidrogen Cooling.

    it's way more cheaper than buying CX1 @ $25k

  • @MrB4LLS 32 gb ram? you dont need that much lol

  • @MrB4LLS What do you recommend again?

  • Don't have to be a genius to figure out how to put Part A into Slot A

  • how much does one cost???

  • " It's so easy even the sales guy can do it." hey they are really smart, they get ppl to buy snake oil right?

  • can I name it watson?

  • I like the LCD screen in the front panel is there any version for regular pc :D?

  • it won't fit into my room...

  • yeah but... WILL IT BLEND?

  • They start at $25,000

I think it's starting is 100 GB memory (most computers run on 1-3 GB) and 6,000 GB RAM.

    I want one.

  • @Schubelicious so does it use 100 gigs of ram or 6 terabytes of ram?

  • and how much did this cost?

  • 41 hours of work .on one computer guys get a life and spend money on computers that can run crysis on ultra high

  • @alluuuuu1 41 minutes

  • WTF DUDE HOW RICH ARE YOU?

  • sooo how much will my wallet have to suffer for one of these little pieces of awesome?

  • @JonBj2

Dell Price $49,999.99 Its on the dell website. And I thought my Alienware m15x was expensive. lol.

  • @Emir3000 Dell? DELL?!?! Are you fucking mad? Dell is SHITE! Build your own PC, with top quality parts, and still be about half the price. And before you start saying "Hurr. My PC isn't Dell." Alienware is made by Dell. Geez...

  • @aidenscool09 Dell is a reseller of Cray computers. You order it from dell, Cray builds and ships it. And i know my Alienware is made by Dell. Best money ever spent. I do tech support and build my own pc's but I wanted an alienware laptop. I could have gotten a Toshiba, Asus, Gateway that does the same thing for less but Alienware is what i wanted. My car is cheaper than a Lamborghini but I would still take a Lamborghini over my Honda. lol.

  • im gonna rent a cray supercomputer to play pong on XD

  • All of that for just that little screen.... lol.

  • just like the early days of computers when we had to build them ourselves. just like lego toys! :)

  • all for hardcore minesweeper

  • this thing can probly last 10 more generations of games

  • I like the description. Sp the sales guy does have a practical use after all.

  • $88K and only 4TB storage max. It will depreciate by 40% while you will be signing a check for it.

  • @bellaelvis11 It should have WAY MORE memory than that!!! What is 4 measly TBs good for?

  • @Consumerofknowledge , it has plenty of RAM you can expand. I was talking about storage. The storage is 4TB max. Thanks for the comment.

  • DO NOT FORGET KIDS! Servers has normally NO GPUs for games ONLY CPUs for science tasks! Or try to run a game with your home computer's cpu only ^_^

  • and the money ?

  • he was in there for 40 hrs straight????

  • it can run Zork, and PS7!

  • A lot of you already have in your home PS3s and Xbox 360s that have many times over the "supercomputer" capability of a whole room full of Los Alamos hardware that was used for nuclear weapons simulations in the mid to late 1980s.

  • how much for 12 ? ... and .. i hope i get one free over that !

  • How much for 12 of that ? ;) and if i buy 12 .. i got one free no?

  • How much for 12 of that ? ;) and if i buy 12 .. i got one free no?

  • the real question is, can it run crysis?

  • - @chevezez -

Probably not. Just because it's a super computer doesn't mean it was purpose built for gaming... I have a machine with a 64-bit quad core and 8 gig of memory...not many programs I have will ever address that much space or use the processor's 64-bit functions.

It's like having a quad processor computer and wondering why it sucks as a gaming machine when it was originally designed to be a mail server.

  • @pmggodfrey

crap i feel bad for making you write all that, it was a joke

most video games are designed to look to a graphics card/integrated graphics for the bulk of their processing power,

the cray is basically only mass cpu/memory, nothing a game could use, unless the programmers wrote the game differently, i could go into more technical detail but meh u get the point

-also, i hate how most programs are 32 bit

  • - @ chevezez -

I type fast, it didn't take long at all. No need to feel bad.

What does get me is when people go out and spend thousands on a graphics card that was meant for CAD work and get mad when it doesn't make their came playing better.

    :)

  • 5970 vs FireproGT ?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheSouthlake But can you run Crysis? =\

  • @chevezez STOP IT WITH THE CRYSIS CRAP

  • @chevezez Run Crysis? WTF?! this is what they use to build the nanosuits! rofl!

  • @chevezez that is what I came here for... *rubs hands together*...

  • @chevezez lmao the big question that has marveled programmers for years rofl!

  • @chevezez Probably not

  • @chevezez

Dude, anything can run Crysis. This $60 graphics card can run Crysis and Crysis 2 at full settings.

  • @Paratrooper1n0 yea at 640x480

  • @chevezez

I said full settings. That is obviously not full settings.

I run all of my games at a minimum of xxxx by 900 (xxxx because of Eyefinity as an option). I get 40 FPS average at full settings.

  • @Paratrooper1n0 whats your build?

  • @chevezez

Oh I just meant Crysis 1 (Was thinking about another shooter than I got full settings on other than Crysis 2) My old graphics card was a Radeon HD 4830 256bit. It fried and am currently stuck with integrated graphics.

  • @chevezez nope strictly based for workstation environment

  • @chevezez crysis isnt programmed to utilize this type of processing.

  • it dont have to. right? aint it just a powerfull cluster of reletively ordinary computers?

  • @onemanbanddan you can order it with Red Hat Enterprise Linux lol (currently running linux on my computer)

  • What a waste if 2:35

  • Schematics? Maybe printable pcb pictures.. and BOM of course!

  • what's the specs?

  • AHHHHHHHH!!! I WANT ONEEEEEEEE!!!!

Don't post videos like this! it makes people like me cry!!! rofl!

    : D

When it gets obsolete for you... can i get it cheap? lol

  • the entry level 1 is $10000=)

  • @bluetorch13 Agreed but Ferrari's don't lose much value over time so good luck on that. I'll trade you my wife though... Ship it next day and I'll throw in 2 kids lol!

  • @bluetorch13 he most powerful computers at bestbuy, upgrade them to cat6, install centos linux to them, buy a cat6 router, connect all the machines to the router, then take an older pc and wirelessly connect it to the router (802.11n), then program all of the newer computers with clustering, and program thje cluster to send all the power to the host machine (the older computer)

  • @bluetorch13 uhhhh if you have 400$ lying around sure you can get one

  • @bluetorch13 it is 25,000 USD

  • @Spicyperson9123 Make that 40 000 USD...

  • @maikeydii ok

  • @bluetorch13, It think they go for about $13,000 and up.

  • it doesnt run it failed

  • Fag!

  • Question FAIL! rofl!

  • Price should be around 20000 Euro

  • Price of all that?

  • The "fail" noted by Gradius0 was due to the available power in the room. As there was only one free outlet, we could only power half of the CX1. The monitoring system noticed that half of the blades and power supplies weren't working because they had no power.

If we had had two open outlets, no failure would have been seen.

  • With just a screwdriver and a tub of glue, you too can have a fully functioning personal supercomputer! :)

  • FAIL ! You can see clearly @2:20 Fault 1/7

    FAIL ! LOL !

  • Nice.
