  • Was it shot down? LOL

  • I used to fly and still keep my hand in it . That Auster needs a ton of safety work . In the U.S. it would be grounded till all problems repaired . Honesty it would have not passed a pre-flight insp.Being nice looking doesn't have anything to do with safety .

  • hey i have a guillow's fokker dr1 balsa flying model kit it is old um i was wondering if you can make a video about it

  • I wouldn't be found dead in this plane ;-p

  • Good to see the oldies still in the air.

  • That Auster must be worth a mint !! With all the bubblegum and duck-tape Holden it together . Man O Man that thing isn't good enough for parts even .Scary is all I can say !!!

  • @dochelp1m Would you abandon a car just because of some scratches? The look of the cover doesn't say anything about the safety relevant parts. What do you expect from an old plane which has experienced a long life?

  • Reminds me of a farm implement more than a plane. That's not a bad thing! Easy to operate, easy to fix, and tough as old boots.

  • Holy *&^$(^&*%, my Beaver Ultralight looks 100% safer that that thing.

Looks like a rookie mechanic works on that thing!

  • Why is he wearing a Rabobank cap? Its a dutch bank :S

  • @Dutchsmoker78910 They are all through Australia and New Zealand. Heck, possibly own Tassie, our PM most llikely sold them off...

  • I think that's the plane "la bamba" went down in...

  • Oi Bruce! If you want to see a variety of De Havilands work pop over to South Mimms (North London) Mosquito Museum run buy enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Although I am now in Jockland I make the pilgrimage whenever I can.. That poor Auster is in need of a bit of TLC..

  • I was expecting to see a hand operated gattling gun as you panned around...

  • How fast is the cruise speed??

  • Wow... I would not fly in that plane. You all have much in regulations?

  • @FlyMario2 i know, i've seen old WW2 aircraft in better condition than this flying coffin.

  • A lil rough 'round the edges, eh? "Functional" seems to be the key word for this particular example... Thanks for sharing this!

  • Looks like something Ron would fly :)

  • it looks like it needs a lot of tcl

  • Nice old plane there Bruce, the one in the other Vid looks to be in better condition than this one airframe wise

  • Nice One Bruce

  • that looks like its going to fall apart >_<

  • thats gotta have some huge servos

  • @shoopwhoopX yes and Pilot sits inside with a new Futaba 8FG radio to fly the airplane.

  • @shoopwhoopX Forgot to mention, he is using FY-30A system to stabilize the plane too

  • @alishanmao lol Ali !!!

  • @shoopwhoopX
