We are not asking the dead to pray for us, we are asking those alive in Christ and in heaven to pray for us!" How do you know specifically if a given dead saint can hear you? How do you know if they are in heaven or somewhere else where they cannot hear?
To try and draw a one to one correlation between prayers of intersession here on this earth for loved ones and friends that are alive and praying to dead people for intersession is the purest of evil and is doing nothing but twisting scripture.
