Yes, it has beautiful music and art, but those alone can't make a great game. You need action, plot, characters, and a reason to propel you forwards. Can someone please explain to me what the appeal of this game is and what it is that i'm missing?

There is no thrill in Journeying across a dessert. and I couldn't care less about a random person.

The game is about trying to get to a big pyramid. Its not really weather or not you get to the pyramid, but who you meet along the way, so its not the destination, it is the journey

This game looks amazing, the art and graphics seem wonderful, and the actual theme is great! I also love the fact that the characters don't seem to have "Figure" as in a male/female stereotypical way.

Reminds me of an indy version of Kingdom Hearts, LittleBigPlanet, and Limbo combined. KH for the swords in the sand, LBP for the side-scrolling, and Limbo for the art.

But to your point of other platforms, I don't see how. Sony financed this game and thus they have the rights.

From what I understand you are all alone in a desert travelling towards an unknown destination until you come across another person. However you cant speak their language. Thats as much as I can tell you. But based on their other games, I'd be willing to bet its gonna be good.
