I wonder if philbateman1989 already critiqued this death.

1) Every nailgun I've ever seen or used can only fire if you A) press the nose plate against a hard surface (like the back of Erin's skull) and B) squeeze the trigger. What's squeezing the trigger here?

2) Nailguns only spit one nail per trigger squeeze. A full-auto nailing would put nails in places where the carpenter doesn't want them, shoot them in so sloppily that they'd have to be pulled out or otherwise waste lots of nails.

3) The nails wouldn't punch through her head like that. The nail heads would catch in her skull, and nailguns typically aren't set to that level of power anyway; after all, you might screw up the shot and have to claw the nail out, and how can you do that when the nail's completely buried in whatever 2x8 you're trying to nail in place? The nailgun starts your nail, and your claw hammer finishes it.

The back of Erin's head would have pressed down on the trigger once, launching only one nail...which, driven into the right place on her head, would have been enough. But you know how everyone needs flashier deaths in these movies....

Maybe I just need to chant the MST3K mantra more. :-/
