@genelin1995 He didn't kill him because he (Dumbledore) knew Voldemort would just return. And he knew that because of Harry's blood in Voldemort. Did you understand that? xD
@genelin1995 Yeah, but .. I think the thing is that as long as Voldemort had BOTH harry's blood AND his horcruxes, he was immortal, and couldn't be killed before he lost all his horcruxes... or something xD
He said "Partis Temporus" wich sounds latin and should mean something like parting temporary, so this is the spell wich parts the fire storm, it doesn't summon it.
This is epic. This prooves what an amazing actor Dumbledore was. Cant you see? He is about more then half dead but still he caused such an humangous firestorm!
@Damasterdotorg no it isn´t fiendfire. Fiendfire is darkest magic. it´s "normal" magical fire like an Incendio just greater and controlled. Dumbledore never used dark magic (maybe in his Youth as he was together with Grindlewald and yes they were a couple according to Rowlings)
@Metalhammer1993 Actually, I'm pretty sure just Dumbledore was gay, and he harbored romantic feelings for Grindelwald, but Grindelwald didn't feel the same way, and he only used Dumbledore's feelings to manipulate him.
Guess what? When I saw the film at midnight we were watching this scene and the screen cut to white right when Harry fell into the water...the whole theatre was like "WTF" lol...then a worker comes in and tells us that there was technical difficulties and that they were being sorted out lol...the movie came back on but it was really jarring haha
@TheRedGoldfish It's even not that American, is it? I mean it's like the Americans only funded or whatever the Harry Potter movies, but the rest was purely British genius. :D
this scene is simply wondrous, i can't get enough of it! like the movie or not, it was worth going to the cinema just to see this on big screen....
plus, i've always thought it's amazing how Dumbledore was still able to produce a firestorm while being so severely weakened, and this depiction exceeds everything i could've imagined!

Okay seriously I am 17 years old and that inferi that came up and grabbed Harry gave me freakin' nightmares for a week.
At first I was all, "Oh this one is PG again...it should be pretty lame" and then the inferi came and I was hiding under my seat.

Picxeljuice 1 year ago
@Picxeljuice Partis probably means part or divide. I've never heard of an actual word called "Temporus," but "Tempest" means storm. So, part storm?
JackieMagenta 11 months ago
@JackieMagenta actually temporus means time. so the basic meaning would be time to part, or time to depart, either one
