German Shepherds are the smartest dogs alive. They need, love and live to be trained!!!! All due respect but train your dog. And you'll love even more. If you can't afford a pro trainer, you can learn on line. There is no excuse. if you love your dog you'll train him. His intelligence are going to waste.
This dog is probably not safe around any neighbors or dogs. Walking him shows that he feels that he must be in charge b/c he doesn't think his walker is. just sayin...could use a little strong leadership here...
@PoliceObsessed I so wished that my dog was a bit sissy. There is only 1 person outside of the family that can pet or even walk him. No one is safe, really. I wish to walk him without him trying to attack people or other dogs one day :)
@MrWhittierMan Maybe you should bring him to social dog classes but with a muzzle on and each time he tries to attack another dog tell him a in a firm voice 'No' im sure he will learn :) My 9 year old gsd used to have the same problem but each time he met another dog id tell him 'be nice' and he actually stopped the attacking
@PoliceObsessed Thank you so much for your reply. I love that you gave me a great advice.I want to do that, but he wont allow a muzzle near him. I tried the food on the muzzle trick, and a few others. I wont give up trying. I love my dog. Once again, thank you!
@MrWhittierMan you need to become that dog's leader cause your problems will just get worse and your walk is really bad he's taking you for a walk but he's only young have you worked with him since this video if you want to fix these problem it takes work but it will be worth it cause people are not so forgiven when they get bite buy a big dog is this your first gsd?
@SUSANB2K9 Yes it is my 1st gsd. I been working with him. It is hard to put on his leash,or a different collar. He will not bite me,but he struggles to much. See,he was born during a 2month storm,so he was not able to be walked due to the cold wind and rain.So he wasn't able to socialize with people or other dogs. But I wont give up,lol
@MrWhittierMan be the leader of your dog homie. and dont let him pull you when your walking him on the leash. he needs to be behind. i have a rottweiler and that fool knows who daddy is.
does he still pull on the walk? you should keep the collar all the way on top of his neck like they do with a show dog walking with the collar down like that only make him more powerful you should even invest in a (Illusion Dog Collar), and when he starts playing with you before you put the leash on just stop and wait for him to calm down and than try again don't put the leash on when he's excited cause your only reward something you don't want!!>>

The only living thing my shepherd's aggressive to is the neighbor's cats. Other than that she's the sweetest dog I know.
