not true at all. this vehicle does offer power seats and navigation. so this guy obviously doesn't know anything he's talking about. so people go somewhere else to get your info.

DONT BUY TOYOTA they have accelerator problems that to date toyota cannot fix this affects almost all toyota models toyota has has issues for years(hiding its problems)now they got caught
Yeah I know, I made the comment 2 MONTHS AGO When, obviously, I had no idea. Besides, the Rav4 doesn't have many accel. issues. The Avalon does. But yeah, she's going to buy a Hyundai now...shoot.
LOL no, the models made in Japan were fine. I have a 2009 RAV4 which was part of the recall, but it was perfectly fine. That was because my car was still being made in Japan at that time and only until MARCH of 2009 was when the accelerator problems occured - and the US were producing them at that time. Coincidence? LOL
@hexumrulz00 chevys better becuase it has bigger, stronger vehicles and has real 4wheel drive!. atleast chevy stays in its own country unlike toyota which is from japan.
I bought a 2009 Rav4 with navigation, leather/heated seats with an upgraded stereo system and sunroof with 4WD. It's also equipped with front and side airbags for front and back seats. It's a very nice SUV.
I own the 2007 Rav 4 and you can select an option for wood trim.
Also, you can have powered seats (driver's side only).
Another thing you can have is the optional handsfree Bluetooth wireless capability for your cellular phone.
Another feature not mentioned in this video is the hidden storage in the back, below the floor (with the spare on the door, you have double the internal storage).
this car is great i can't wait to buy it. i was researching cars for so long and this one is packing so much value and utility and it looks good to drive as opposed to the shrimpy compacts
In response to angeltouich2007, the Rav 4 is much better than the CR-V.
I did my research and believe it or not, but feature for feature, dollar for dollar, the 6 Cylinder Rav 4 maxed out is cheaper than the CR-V maxed out.
I live in NYC so I am debating between the 2008 CRV or Rav4 with V4 Engine. I am basically looking for a V4 engine and Four Wheel Drive. I hear with the Rav4, you can have both.
Edmunds review stated the CRV transmission and engine can get worn out if going uphill. And I live outside of NYC in a hilly area.
Its actually for my mother. She needs a small jeep, but nothing too hefty. You never know how much snow you can get in NYC.
I bought the 6 cylinder engine for my New York drive on the turnpike, so that's where I get the great gas mileage.
If you are driving mainly in the city where you are stuck in gridlock traffic and don't do much highway driving, then I will recommend the 4 cylinder engine.
As for hills, I never heard of that one (you might wish to verify your source).
You can get the optional hill start assist.
Also, get the towing package for better performance.
yea same here my cusin are telling us to get a CR-V or RAV 4 small kind of jeep. I also live in NYC inside the city so its not that hilly. I dnt like that shape of CR-V i like the shape of RAV 4. I want a RAV 4
Actually in the end we settled on a Toyota Matrix. The gas mileage on both was rought. But if you plan to drive alot in the snow, then definitly get a RAV 4.
I love my '02 Rav4 and after watching this, if I had an '07 one, id marry it. More powerful, more space, more utility... A sign of Toyota's neverending improvement.
Recklesness from a stupid driver wrecked my first RAV4. The crash was so bad that only my door ended untouched... Everything else was a complete wreck.
I ended with only a bruise from the seatbelt on my shoulder. Walked away not even needing to wear a collar.
I have a better RAV4 now (Limited now, base before) and will never switch away from Toyota!!
I am a toyota Salesman and just to inform you that in the video it states that you can not get power seats that is not true standard ONLY in the limited model you do in fact get a power driver seat
its way much better than a Honda CRV - the honda sucks off-road, but this doesn't (it isn't as powerful as its big brother, the Land Cruiser - but, its good non the less)... in the opinion of many car experts, its 1 of the pioneers in its class (which means that any new vehicle in this class is compared 2 it)!
Chevy is better than Toyota because Toyota S-U-C-K-S!

I like the aggressive styling rather than the bland look on the CRV. Plus the optional third row can be handy at times.

None of the Rav4s were made in the US. From 2006 to late 2008, they were from Japan. As of November 2008; Woodstock, ON, Canada.

The Rav 4 is a great sports utility vehicle.
I bought the 6 cylinder engine for my New York drive on the turnpike, so that's where I get the great gas mileage.

newyorkfish 3 years ago
Oh well its for my mother and yea she works in the city and brooklyn. She has another car specifically for going upstate, long island or Jersey.
Towing won't be useful for her.
But you are totally correct on getting V4 engine instead of V6.
Oh the transmission problem going uphill was for the Honda CRV. Not the Toyota Rav 4.
My source was Edmunds. Just google "Edmunds" and they tell everything about every car.
But thanks for your advice.

In response to madmaxninja08:
The towing package helps provide more reliability - I have it and glad I did.
I bought it last May and my first year experience has been more reliable than my previous car.
In my 1st year of ownership, not a single failed start or any other major mechanical problem whatsoever.
BTW, I recommend the upgraded stereo because it integrates bluetooth for hands-free phone calls.
Unlike GM, Toyota does not make you pay extra to use your phone in your car.
newyorkfish 3 years ago
Did you ever take it for servicing ? If so, how was the experience ?
I took my Nissan for servicing a couple days ago for the NY state expension and this wicked woman was haggling after the report came out.
I had to wait 3 hours in a room with these losers watching soap operas.
The guy was like you have "additional problems" I said "fix what is needed for me to pass." " You cant try that on me."
Well I am going go down to the Toota and Honda dealerships so she can get a test-drive.

In response to madmaxninja08:
Part of the reason I bought the Rav 4 -versus- the CRV was that I interviewed the service department on a Saturday afternoon.
Honda lost because they were closed on Saturdays !!
At the Toyota dealership, they offer free WIFI internet access for their customers.
They also offer a few PC computers, a large screen TV as well as plenty of reading material.
They also offer VIP valet service (standard) and all Toyota customers get 10% discount on parts.
I love it.

Amen. Also the 6cyl Rav4 has more fuel econemy than a 4CYL CR-V...dissipointed in Honda. AND the Rav4 has more space.
