  • A forgotten GEM

  • not a big Psychedelic Furs fan but I like this song. 30 years now. Lets all go back to 82 and warn the people of WTC, The economic Bubble downfall, tablet, blackberry devices and cell phones shrinking testies, The 2% shrinking to 1% and the whole Mayan thing! or we can see what happens in the next 30 years. If we all make it till then.

  • man oh man....please tell me this awesome song is NOT 30 years old.......yep, afraid so...i'm getting old....but i don't feel old!

  • ahhh I yearn for the oldies....The fabuluos Furs was a staple on 102.1 CFNY The true "Spirit of Radio"

  • This song is addicting....Replay, replay, replay. Luv R. Butler :)

  • reminds me of that grand theft auto game i played and this song played in the cars. calmed me down. still shot people and stuff but the ride was very enjoyable

  • I was 18 when this came out & intometal but, still liked it as the music scene had loads of variety with metal, new wave, dance, basic rock etc amazing how it all existedtogether as each camp made its way on the charts & sold well. The bassist here plays the hell out of his bass as I've listening thru H.phones. Singer is a bowie clone in ways with a unique tone.New wave was more creative than metal (less limiting) inmy opinion.

  • Thanks for uploading this! Love it.

  • richard butler i love ya

  • saw them live at selinas with icehouse what a gig

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • The only song i can sing in tongue.

  • Bowie was a fan of this song, and included this in this list of favorites in 1983. He even copped the xylophone riff for Loving The Alien; listen and compare.

  • @JonMatt62 Yes, you're right. And this would also fit his singing style very well.

  • One superb track!!!

  • Uh, HQ audio with that fuzz?

  • NOBODY (exc. maybe Elvis Costello) "blows away Bowie's"! But this still rocks. why don't we hear more of them?

  • influenciados por el genial david bowie

  • 80'S BEST SONG EVER MADE

  • Mineral sent here :P although i like this alittle better then theyre cover

  • amazing.

  • Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.

  • Recorded with a slice of swiss cheese

  • high quality my ass

  • !980's -pack up a bunch of misunderstood and or non-sensical lyrics and make a beautiful song with deep meaning. Today- make a auto-tuned, fully understood song with where the lyrics make perfect sense but mean nothing at all and have no depth or beauty what so ever.

  • i don't know why but everytime this song comes on, i want to watch 'Sixteen Candles.' :)

  • Wave 103

  • This isnt glam by the way,its new wave...

  • potato camera

  • Glam rock without the glam. Genuinely weird, but hauntingly appealing at the same time. The band's name was a bit of a contradition to the times. Most Brit rockers drop the accent when they sing - hat's off to pronoucing the word "face" like "ice" with an "f" in front. Not sure on what plane or in which dimension Butler was on or in when he wrote the lyrics to the Firs's songs, but it really doesn't matter. This one has to be one of the "Essential Eighties".

  • @wombatster Wherever he was, the Velvet Underground were there too.

  • @simplyscrummy Exactly. but there's some Bowie and Roxy Music..

  • @801liveable 'Tis the truth.

  • I think Richard's voice blows away Bowie's and in Love Spit Love too... Bowie is great, and Butler is as well. Two different styles actually. I like the brooding nature of Psy Furs, and Butlers haunting voice, it echo's in my mind forever. I miss the 80's yall!

  • <3 winter,,2011, still rocks <3

  • yo te amo

  • i nid may lof..

  • @francisco6221 gracias-652021414

  • I saw The Psychedelic Furs at George R. Brown Convention Center in the 80's in high school, and the crowd broke through and rushed against the stage. Somehow, I got crushed up against the stage right in front of Richard Butler, and I thought it was the greatest thing to get to touch his boots! LOL!!!

  • God DAMN but this is a sexy song....

  • The PSYCHEDELIC FURS So ahead of their time Below comment. You are an idiot. How do you think they made all that great music. The only arse is you!!!!

  • wow psychadelic AND furry

  • I was once addicted to the Furs like Richard Butler was/is addicted to heroin. "Forever Now,' will always be forever now one of the best albums ever recorded. "Love My Way" is probably my fav Furs song. P.S. I met Richard Butler in person and he's a complete ass or arse as you Brits call it. And his brother Tim tried to swallow my tongue. "Lots of fun!" BTW if you look at Richard's eyes you can tell he's high on something hardcore.

  • I absolutely love this song...havent heard this song in years...one of the 80's many great ones!!

  • i was born in 1990 and this song still rocks i love it

  • @MrBennyboi1990 I was born in 1972 and this song still rocks. It's been almost almost 30 years since it release. Anyways glad to hear you have an appreciation for older music.

  • @Parkinish It's just great! What has age to do with anything?

  • @MrBennyboi1990 1990 music was garbage like the times, the 80's were the last of good times and music everything went down the toilet after that wow'!! now you have justin bieber please somone please show me his talent he cant even sing teen idol he's not a donny osmond bobby sherman george michael he can't compare i can go on saying people that he isn't worthy of being mention in compare

i didn't say i like 90's music and some of its okay

now justin bieber hes a fluffy bunny lol

  • A great 80s band.

  • im 21 and this is in my top 10 favorite songs ever.

  • raw , unpolished music always sounds better...

  • so beautiful this song... it brings me the best memories of my life

  • Being a teenager in the 80's was the best time to be a teenager. You who were born in the 80's MISSED out on all the awesome music/lifestyle/culture...but you are better off than today's teenagers.

  • @GrandMasterGuess

you are insane. I was there. It blew.

  • @chuckamok12 I have to say I agree with chuck... as a rule the music in the '80's was mass-produced shite. Stock, Aitken & Waterman have a lot to answer for in my opinion. That said there were some true gems amongst all the crap ... you just had to look bloody hard!

  • @GrandMasterGuess you got that right ! the last era of fun and good music music and time went down hill after the 80's

  • brings back memories. gta vice city too! :)

  • The lead singer looks like Drago from the untouchables movie

  • @goldeniris81 "Drago" LMAO that's hillarious ha ha ha

  • HE LOOK'S LIKE DAVID BOWIE, SOMETIMES

    in this video, to me

    =D

  • truly an 80's classic. I was born in 1982 It does me proud to find out such a classic came out on the year I was born, that was an awesome year I hear

  • I love this song, me personally.

  • This tune in particular is very "Bowie'esque", but still great. Also, the Furs were a great influence for the Killers.

  • Great voice. Love the Furs. Pretty in Pink.

  • 1952 HQ audio...

  • what a fuck is this HQ shit

  • I always liked this song—and not because it’s some “gender blender” thing. Music never affected me on that level anyway. I never could care less what Freddie Mercury or Elton John did in their dressing rooms.

  • @freddietz96 Wow good for you, thanks for sharing those pearls of wisdom

  • Love it!

  • Pernice Brothers do a brilliant cover of this tune.

  • GTA Vice City!!!I love listen when i drive in little havana!!

  • This song scream 1980's.......Excellent tune!!!

  • OMG! This song is just so awesome! One of the best to come out of the 80's! This guy has a sexy type of voice. I think that helps make the song so cool! :-) God how this song takes me back to the days of when roller skating was still cool. I would skate to this at the rink or around the block with my walkman! Oh to feel that carefree and alive again. I had so many fun times and crazy times then. The 80's were the best! :-D I just love the 80's so much! God how I miss it too! :-(

  • Probably my favorite song, of "all time"! Wahi'

  • Saw these guys in denver a couple months ago, they are still good.

  • This song was released in early 1982; I was a Senior in High School and working very hard on thoroughly ruining my life! I never truly recovered and it now officially sucks to be me! Still love this song though! LOL!

  • @DragonRider65 right on man!!! it's a popular club.

  • @groovvvirgo: LOL! "I'm feeling much better now.." Hahaha! Actually getting a life now, I mean, wow, who'd have thought!

  • I didn't hear this song until 1993, a pivotal time in my life. Absolutely love this song. I thought it was new song back then but... looking at the video it screams 80s.

  • such a timeless song! it takes me away

  • care-free days : )

  • i saw them live like 2 weeks ago (i'm having trouble remembering due to le ganja) at the Wilmont Theatre in Montclair NJ.

  • Not heard it before, got recommended it, and i like, how did i miss this?

  • What a great tune. Such awesome memories.

  • its not where or how you heard it , but the point is you heard it and you like it , End of discussion and LISTEN TO THE GREAT SONG!!

  • Just simply brilliant!

  • @1newquestion you r so correct..on the way to the hospital..this played ..just before my daughter was born

  • I'm 25!

  • Is this David Bowie's long lost brother??? lol.

  • @Chelz4AdrianGD

I really never noticed this but I see what you mean!

  • @Chelz4AdrianGD Better than David Bowie!

  • @Chelz4AdrianGD You know... I've never noticed how much he sounds like David Bowie. He really does. Love this song though. For those of you who have not heard Korn's cover of this search it up on here.

  • @Chelz4AdrianGD

its David Bowie with khaki pants

  • @Chelz4AdrianGD lol i know right

  • @Chelz4AdrianGD He sounds a little like Kurt Kobain...

  • @frangiul13 You mean Kurt Kobain sounds like Richard Butler ,always list the Original 1st!

  • @rojosdad Pardon Me, Mr Type A. I didn't realize I was going to be Bitch Slapped just for making a simple analogy....

  • PHAHAHAHAHAHHA HQ AUDIO?!?

  • @ApothakarY There seems to be a lack of stereo separation. I don't think this is the fault of the user, but more to do with the video itself. If I remember correctly, this video was originally produced in mono. I have a radio promo 12" demo sampler I'll upload in the next few days and it's stereo!

  • @vinyl12s Please hurry up....I'm waiting....

  • @wombatster LOL!!! Look for it to be up this weekend. I have some B52s to upload tonight.

  • yes yes! lo encontre

  • my daughter was born to this song..i could care less about quality.i here it ..and thats all that matters to me..but then again i ate a tuna sandwich that night..never..had a better one

  • BUTLER, sounds like BOWIE..music sounds like ROXY MUSIC, quite a combination..

  • yeah, music was great...videos were lame and corny. But I remember liking the all package!

  • @gazuaman what was so lame about the video's you didn't understand the meaning of the video's that's why you say they were lame video's tell a story a short story

  • @irobot2009able well, I've just sai that I liked the package...lame within it! I just made a point that the music was much better than the video...that's all. Nowaday's that's the all wrong: great videos and music sucks! Just an opinion, not much to get fussy...

  • this is not an HD audio version. Learn how to use your fancy new gear.

  • my first brit pop song I fell in love with

  • Like a nu-wave dream with marimba. Soothing beyond repair. After all, there's an army on the doncefloor.. Yes, donce.

  • Sound balance on this video is fucked - your master source filters are all wrong - this is a smooth song but ur copy here is harsh and irritating - please remove it for the sake of the art.

  • @DocBrewster then.how could i here it..

  • damn the music videos sucked back in the day but the music is awesome

  • the 80s were great

  • yessssssssssss

  • i though it was bowie when it played on the radio in 1982

  • Bowies illegitimate kid??

  • That's a great song .. but this isn't playable??

  • If by HQ audio you mean blown out gain...you're right! It's an audiophile's dream!

  • im having this played at my funeral

  • @peepipe pure io (me too)

  • @peepipe well thats the circle..on my way to the hospitol when my daughter was being born this came on the radio...as 4 my funeral ..im going ..batman theme from the 60 s..freak um out

  • I used to think that Richard Butler was just an uncoordinated dancer, now I realize it was just because he was zooming on something... what, I don't know, but I could use some of it right about now :-)

  • @Cuteblondchick72 well said

  • HQ audio my ass? Then you post a better one for us. Please I beg you of 111 thumbs up man.

  • 80 ' = REAL SONG OF A DANCE FLOOR...

  • @67omerta Another good dance floor song from this era is Kajagoogoo's Too Shy.

  • sgtwilliams123 .... i am so with you

  • Ah the Furs.. Somehow it always takes me back to my awkward adolescent years growing up in the early 80s. Looking for love and trying to find my way in what was a pretty bleak world for me back then.

  • much better audio quality on this one... THANKS

  • Boy oh boy...this takes me back to high school loves, converse all stars, trapperkeepers, 21 Jump Street, smoking behind the gym, and just being a teen in the 80's.

  • Its nice.... but not great by any standard. See the 80's for what they were... fun and entertaining.... but certainly not epic.

  • There's Dust in all their Hearts,....

  • this song gets me going, there's something about his voice.

  • Richard Butler is god!

  • Underated! SOOOO UNDERATED.... And whats the bet some faggy cunt remakes it with auto tune and it has 200 million views from retards who dont know music history.

  • @DjTommyKx Its better that way music like this wont get "burned out" or go viral by idiots who dont know shit about music ,.

  • I have always loved this group, there are many of the same age that got somehow lost, but will be remembered by some people forever.

  • Whilst shopping in a generic supermarket amongst the commercial dross on the loud speaker this gem sounded out. I nearly fell to the floor and wept, thankyou music gods, there is hope.................

  • I'm 19 and love this song!!!

  • I'm 23 and i love this song!!!

  • @edgaracr88 @meverdugo2

Who cares how old you are, seriously?

I'm 22 wtf does it mean?

I hear this song in the supermarket, that's probably how I first heard it, it's just a good song, no one cares nor is impressed that we were not born when it was released

  • @SuperSquishface Thumbs up to your comment! :)

  • @SuperSquishface lol i was juss bein sarcastic b/c the comment b4 mine was almost identical haha i agree w/you

  • JEBANIE IN THE 80's

  • excelente cancion no como las porquerias de ahora

  • Que recuerdos de esta cancion. Como si hubiera sido ayer cuando la cantaba mientras leia historias de Edgar Allan Poe en la preparatoria.

  • FANTASTIC SONG OF 82

  • HQ Audio?! Are you freaking retarded? Distortion is not HQ!!!

  • New Wave and New Romantic movements weren't so very far apart as people like to think; both were inspired by a fear of imminent nuclear war and the socio-economic degradation of the Western powers. What have we got now...? No more Cold War & Quick-Fix Globalist Consumerism. What's the music today? Doof-doof, boom-boom with Gaga-GooGoo lyrics. No real angst, no real vision for tomorrow. Nothing intelligent to say; nothing musically worth remembering. Gen Z... prove me wrong, I challenge you.

  • Metallica Enter sandman was the funeral march .

  • I am 60 years old and sitting hear loving it as I have always have done. Love it.Think I will play it at my funeral instead of mettillica.

  • Never quit loving this song.

  • One of the best pop songs in all times. A real masterpiece indeed!

  • QUE GRAN TEMA, SUPER TEMA,, LOVE MY WAY... QUE RECUERDOS

  • Somebody tell me...this is some kind of ''psychedelic''music like 60???i mean the name???this music is like psychedelic rock and roll or what???i'm into metal and hairbands but i like this song

  • @metalheart4u9 psychedelic is just part of the name. the music is just part of the eighties experiment.

  • @aguteempasil but what kind of music it is????

  • @metalheart4u9 post-punk/new wave

  • @metalheart4u9 Nope, not psychedelic rock, by any means. This is 80s new wave/post punk music. You should definitely delve deeper into those sub-genres. You may be surprised how good it is.

  • '82 was such a unique year for music. It was just an amazing year.

  • Thanks to SonySME for singlehandedly nuking half the videos in my playlists, so I have to add their new ones and those by other uploaders and waste time updating them again, since they won't be doing it for me. Also, thanks for blocking a few in the process, so I get stuck with cruddy album covers (or in the case of Dylan, nothing) to replace them. I guess I will just hold off on replacing my vinyls with CD's for awhile, even though I don't have a record player. Who's with me?

  • @psychofred2 "intellectual copyright" rarely benefits the individual with the creative intellect. :(

  • @houseofcantor True. It's always for Time/Warner and Rupert Murdoch.

  • @psychofred2

F...SonySME, they are all about money in their pocket
