  • in addition now it's CAB and not ABC

  • Hipieofbsa

    Yes or American Heart.

  • Don't you have to be trained by a red cross offical?

  • This is outdated, everything is correct except you want to give 30 chest compressions to every 2 rescue breaths instead of 15.

  • she should have checked for danger first

  • 1. If you suspect head spine or neck injury USE THE JAW THRUST METHOD NOT HEAD TILT

  • wait so you press down on the bone? What's that supposed to do exactly?

  • very useful and a good tutorial... thank u!

  • 15 compression and 2 blows it was i used before. The Updated compression + blows for adults is now 30:2. Please check CPR updates. We used it in the Philippines today.

  • Check out this new mattress designed by college students. It makes CPR faster and more efficient in hospitals.

Search for "CPR Mattress" on YouTube

  • It is now 30 compressions instead of 15.

  • i thought it was below the nipple line.. that was our teacher tought us..

    QUESTION...

how about if the rib cage got fractured..

what is the proper assessment for CPR if that is the case..

  • wrong its 30 compressions and 2 ventilations not 15 compressions......

  • Watch out for the xiphoid process of the sternum..if you do the compressions over this it will break off and puncture the liver..stay higher between the nipples.

  • 30:2 is the updated one= compression ventilation ratio

  • In stead of arguing who is right and who is wrong...take a course yearly to stay current!

30:2 for single rescuer on adult, child and infant. 15:2 for children and infant if 2 rescuers, and 30:2 for adult 2 rescuers.

These are the new ILCOR 2005 recommendations.

Please, keep current. This is a motor skill, that if you don't use it, you loose it!

  • this is very wrong now. besides the wrong 15:2 compressions there was also no mention of the recovery position.

  • Needs updating.Comments help to improve.

  • Out of date. 15 compressions is old news, and there is no mention of using a barrier. Obviously filmed before AIDS.

Erren1234 is wrong. It's 30 compressions and 2 breaths for adults AND children.

mallamoozoo and zherwyn44: There is no such thing as face-down CPR. You can't compress the heart through the spine.

  • this video is now obsolete. Compressions are no longer 15 compressions to 2 breaths it is now 30 compressions to 2 breaths.

  • I agree, I just took the new first aid couse of SJA. and the instruction is 30 comp / 2 breaths

  • This is out of date

  • yeah cos i heard you must put them face down so they don't swallow their tongue or choke on vomit etc.

  • Yeah. The new CPR standards has a ratio of 30:2, and no pulse check. If there is no breathing, go straight to CPR. You just continue until help arrives.

  • Bingo, right on the money.

  • Is there such a CPR technique in which the victim lying in the prone position (Reverse CPR)? because I have researched an article about Reverse CPR in which the victim lying prone and compressions performed on their back. I think you should reserched this.

  • i think this has changed to 30:2.. 30 compressions then 2 breaths, at the same rate of 100compressions per minute

  • Thats correct.

  • you're right

  • its still 15:2 for younger childeren/infants

  • no its 15-2 only if it is a infant and there is two resucer cpr in progress 30-2 for everything else. don't feed people wrong information on life saving skills

  • Good video, only problem is she didn't hold the victims nose after the first time.
